the dentist is such a lazy ass he refuses to do anything other than take ones money. he then refers you to an oral surgeon (comfort dental) who also refuses to do anything - what then? the guy took my money and gladly charges my 20 bucks for an office visit, but he doesn't even have the balls to come in the room himself - he sends the young girls in to do his dirty work. i.e. charging for an office visit when you don't even see him. I think his name is Larry Nessel

Any type of "chain" facility should raise a red flag with consumers...Comfort Dental is similar to the Western Dental here in CA...Assembly line dental care, substandard treatment, unqualified employees, etc...
Sure they can be reported to the State Medical/Dental Board, but try getting them to act, it's like pulling teeth...(pun intended)
If you're having issues with your Dentist, relay your concerns to your Insurance Company...If they won't act, file a complaint with the Insurance Comission...Most people are forced into accepting "who" their insurance company recommends, which is called "steering"...If more consumers would bitch about these ILLEGAL practices, maybe the laws would change...For example: an insurance company cannot dictate which repair shop you take your car to after an accident, it is against the law...Since when are our vehicles more deserving of legal protection than our health care?...

Wasn't a Comfort Dental office one of those they caught putting multiple caps on baby teeth of kids with the state paying the bill ? At the time, I was more shocked that they wrapped the kids in one of those "papoose" restraint systems and didn't allow parents in the treatment room with the very young kids. When I worked in an E.R. we did rarely need to use a "papoose" on a child needing emergency medical treatment that could not wait until the child calmed down or could be safely sedated, but I can't think of any time it should be needed in a dentist office.

They can't necessarily be blamed for that, especially with the shit some parents feed their kids nowdays...This woman I know hadn't taken her 8 year old son to the Dentist...Ever...Because of her own fear...The only reason she finally did take him in is because the school threatened Neglect charges due to the many cavities he had...Needless to say, her teeth are no better, especially since she's a former Meth user...So she had the Dentist take a look in her mouth as well, and really got told...She inquired of him "Doesn't it get old staring into strangers mouths, and breathing in bad breath all day?"...To which he replied, "That doesn't bother me as much as dealing with people who neglect their teeth for years and expect me to perform miracles"...TOLD!!!
Now, her son has a mouth full of caps, and can at least eat without pain...She still allows him to eat bullshit junk food, and soda non-stop, so I'm sure he'll have problems with his permanent teeth as well...Poor kid...
My son is 16, and recently developed his first cavity...He's had sealants placed on every permanent tooth the minute they came in, he brushes and flosses, doesn't eat candy very often, and gets a cleaning twice a year...How simple is that?...Dental care is often free for children, and it's important that parents take advantage of it...

I have been treated at Comfort Dental in Thornton Colorado.During a routine exam they discovered a cist with cancer,it was removed along with a baby tooth that was impacted in my upper gum...I never new this. They saved my life and the tooth that hurt so bad I nearly yanked it out myself. But getting Dental work done anywhere in the USA for those without insurance or financial means equals allot of suffering. Our Government needs to get with the times and make health care equal to all at affordable rates including reasonable cosmetic work.

The facts are : No pretty teeth = no girlfriends or boyfriends, jokes and comments made by everyone, missed job opportunities, mistaken as a meth user, and you cant sing all I want for Christmas is my two front teeth.

My problem was not with the caring for my teeth...some people have injuries or born with no enamel on their teeth ive been religious about the care of my teeth and still they fell apart like a bad relationship.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding your post. Are you saying that a Comfort Dentist Office found oral cancer (a malignancy confirmed with biopsy) and the only "treatment" you had was removal of a cyst and an impacted baby tooth? Were you referred to and treated by an oncologist or jsut the dentist at Comfort Dental ?

Actually, that was kids dental. Had nothing to do with Comfort Dental.

In addition to the previous quote: this wegsite needs work. Anyway this is about Comfort Dental in Aurora. I had fractured teeth from a car accident. The dentist decided they had to be extracted. I paid over 4,000.00 for this work. My dentures didn't fit and hurt. He left many bone fragments, then had to do surgery to remove them. I had a lower partial that also did not fit and have been through 3 of those and 2 uppers. Then the ill fitting lowers caused the anchor tooth to fail and I had to have a root canal which caused the tooth to break in half. First he said I would have to have that tooth extracted and another new partial, which he would charge another 920.00 dollars for with a so-called discount. But, I had to schedule another appt. at which time he decided he could do a crown and fix the lower partial which would cost me 1,400.00. Same day I saw an ad for their denture package upper and lower and 12 extractions, with additional extractions "slightly more"! Needless to say, I left the office without any work done on what was their lack of competance. I will not return. And, I wouldn't recommend that anyone go to them. By the way, I paid 100.00 dollars for their "gold plan". What a major rip-off! I will also report them to the Dental Association and the Attorney General's office. Every dissatified customer should do the same.

I went to Comfort Dental several years ago. Had a crown put in over a molar and had a fever for about two days immediately following the initial work which of course would indicate an infection. They brushed it off and tried to blame it on something I might have done. The crown fell off several months later and they just had a dental assistant glue it back in without cleaning anything -- good thing I brushed my teeth before going there. The crown still flares up every few months.
Comfort Dental is like fast food for your teeth. I refer to them as the Brakes Plus of dentistry. People go there because they assume it's less expensive but in reality there many more dentists who are both competitively prices and most importantly, competent. Anyone considering going to Comfort Dental should think long and hard before going to them.
