Biggest Mistake Elway made

The biggest mistake Elway has made to date is trading Tim Tebow to the New York Jets. The reason I am saying that is a mistake is due to their LACK of QB's with substantial game experiance. The first one the Broncos have is Caleb Hanie from Chicago. This guys numbers for this past year is 51 completions of 102 attempts, 3 TD's and 10.....count'em TEN-10 PICKS. Needless to say Im sure this guy rode the pine poney more than he stepped on the turf. The next one is Adam Webber, he has NO STATS to review which means he did ride the pine poney through out the entire 2011 season. Lastly, Elways butt boy Peyton Manning. Manning is coming off of what could have been a career ending injury. He is in his last years of playing and lets be honost about this guy. He is not interested in winning any games for Elway, he just wants to pad his pocket with enough dough he can then walk away at the end of his contract no matter what anyone in Denver......Elway included wants. That much is obvious with that fat 3.4 million dollar contract of his. Now, lets look at Tebow, I admit his numbers are not that impressive but his TD vs INT numbers are way better than Hanie and Webber combined with 12 TD's and only 6 INT's ALL SEASON. Also, we have to take into account the number of times the Broncos were down, seemed like they were out of it with Orton as QB1 then Tebow Time erupted and the Broncs won. Although Orton is one of my fraternity brothers I have to admit that Tebow is without a doubt the better QB in pressure cooker situations. Sure, Manning is a good QB, but how long will that shoulder hold out? Can it consistantly step up and perform for 21 games(4 pre-season and 17 regular season)? Thats not even thinking about the post season. The bottom line is this...Elway screwed himself when he traded Tebow and picked up two quentisential ROOKIES with little to no game experiance to back up a washed up Manning with an unpredictable shoulder. If he wanted Hanie and Webber....GREAT!!! That would've given him basically 2 rookies, a proven franchise veteran in Tebow who has proven to be of great value in situations he was in this past year to back up Manning who is a proven star on the field. Also, that would have given Tebow time to grow and mature as an NFL QB as Mannings under-study so when Manning finally did retire, Elway couldve been like "ok, we got Tebow, Hanie and Webber, lets get a rookie through the draft thats the same calibre as RG3 or better." That wouldve set the Broncs for the next 30+ years on quarterbacks and freed up funds to invest in other areas of their offense, defense and special teams.

In closing, Elway you screwed yourself dude and don't get on television crying whoa is me when Manning goes down with another shoulder injury, Hanie falls apart and throws pics, Webber crumbles under the pressure and all you are left to say is "I wish we still had Tebow." The fault for that will rest soully on your shoulders and lets prey that the good citizens of Denver wont be so enraged that they stand outside your home screaming for your blood.
