This is very sad. A 22 year old woman. What a waste and heart break. Yet another death at the hands of a drunk driver. I ask again. Why is Drinking and driving acceptable ? Why is there no MADD people saying just dont drink? Why do they just say dont drink and drive ? There is no such thing as drinking responsibly. Drinking is to get drunk. Drinking makes you irresponsible. Nothing else. As long as alcohol is sold on every-corner then we will lose people every day. According to the yearly stats. Denver has lost two people a day this year to drunk drivers. Not to mention twice as many deaths due to health issues involving alcohol. Why does some people in Denver want to lower the drinking age..Oh yea,,, we have too many kids.

You know, I enjoy a glass of wine with dinner, and no mexican food is complete without a margarita. I never drink to get drunk, and have not been intoxicated by alcohol in many years.

I agree that drinking and driving is by far one of our biggest issues, and the law needs to really crack down on it before we lose more to this senseless act. We certainly do not need to lower the drinking age, many of our kids are already overindulged doosh bags. They certainly do not need to be handed liquor before they are 30. I say we raise the legal drinking age, heh! 26 may be the magic number, some studies show that people do not she their adolescent thought process until around that age. That is an old study though, I may be wrong.

Statistics state that one in five people are alcoholics. That means when they have a glass of wine with dinner they're going to keep drinking and drinking and drinking. It's not so much adolescent behavior as an addiction. The ONLY drink they have a chance of saying no to is the first one. It's a progressive disease so the older the alcoholic is the more often he's going to be drunk and the more he's going to drink each time.

While I agree that the age limit should be raised it doesn't solve the problem with the 20% that will have a problem all their lives.

I agree with Sniper. It should not be don't drink and drive, but don't drink at all for the alcoholics and the problem drinkers. Once they start to drink there is no commonsense left to keep them from behind the wheel.

Well then I guess I misunderstood Sniper. I took his statement as anyone who drinks any alcohol at all is addicted. I am living proof that it is not. I can be perfectly happy with just one and move on. Drunk is a bad bad feeling, one I know I will never feel again as long as I have free will. heh
