This is an example of the SHOCKING and REVOLTING behavior that you get when it comes to dealing with Excel ( which isn't ) and their contractors....

So who is placing the general public in danger?

Man up, Sabell, Palace and Piper...

I already know Excel doesn't care about their reputation in Colorado...

They don't care how many people they kill...

Would have been a lot easier (less expensive) to pay for Mr. Evans' dog and the four of you duke it out later, maybe?

Hope Mr. Evans does not have to pay for legal fees on this.

Some people do things on the principal of the matter. ie: these four entities should have called to see where the could put drive the stake into the ground and not hit an active power line (or anything else that is important). At the very least, the GC on this project should have done it or assigned someone else to do it.

Hope one of them has to pay for Mr. Evans' legal fees.

You should be glad he is doing it - could have happened now (or in the future) to you or members of your own family. This is not just about a dog. It is about doing things how they were required to be done to protec the public.

I feel for Asha's owner. Hope this teaches Excel that they can't just haphazardly go about their business without thinking. Tragic and needless death.

just because you don't like dogs does not mean you have to be a prick about it. It should have been you and not the dog

Clearly could have happened to a person. Not real safe practice. Also, not a good idea to walk dog in the construction zone. I would have to wonder what kind of knowledgeable construction worker would hammer down a rod into an area that might have beried electric?

That's too bad, I was really looking forward to not bothering to read or respond to the punishing comments that she writes back at me. You know, she really does put me in my place...

there is still alot of questions on how the dog died i've never heard of soil becoming electrified unless it's wet. and if it was that bad then how did the owner remove the dog with out be electrocuted himself. 277 volts isn't much, electric fences are at 10000 volts. he won't get much it was just a dog, not a person, thank god.

As a proud parent of a dog, I can understand where he's coming from, and I support the decision to pursue this legally.

However, suing for "emotional damages" is completely asinine. Is the money going to make the hurt go away? No. That part of the lawsuit is just frivolous. What they need to do is maximize the monetary punishment and force Xcel and whoever else is involved into donating an obscenely large non tax-deductible sum to the ASPCA or Humane Society.
