The National Rifle Association’s executive vice president continued to oppose background checks for all gun purchases despite polls indicating that most NRA members don’t share his position. The NRA’s Wayne LaPierre said on “Fox News Sunday” that background checks for all gun purchases would lead to a national registry of gun owners. Critics say such a registry could lead to taxes on guns or to confiscation. Poor teabagger.

That is why 60% of permits are now issued to women. And once again the Constitution is not subject to the most recent poll. Unless you can get enough votes to amend the 2nd stands. Oh , how about you find a lie I have told. You keep making that claim.

Sealey said an unidentified woman called 911 at 5:30 p.m. and said her husband was threatening to shoot her. A few minutes later, the same woman called back and said shots had been fired, Sealey said. When deputies arrived at the home, at 12156 N.C. 211 about two miles east of Red Springs, they found two women dead from gunshot wounds. Two men also were injured, he said. One was taken to Southeastern Regional Medical Center in Lumberton. He was expected to be taken to Chapel Hill for treatment of his injuries, Sealey said. Information about the men's injuries was not available. The shooting remains under investigation but appears to be a domestic incident, Sealey said. The names of the women were not released because the next of kin had not been notified, Sealey said. 2 Conn. deaths blamed on carbon monoxide poisoning Updated: Monday, 11 Feb 2013, 2:29 PM EST Published : Monday, 11 Feb 2013, 7:55 AM EST MERIDEN, Conn.(AP/WTNH)— Meriden police say they suspect carbon monoxide poisoning killed two people found inside a snow-covered car parked in a driveway. The bodies of a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman were found Sunday morning. Police told the Record-Journal of Meriden there were paths shoveled alongside the vehicle, but the rest of it was covered with snow and the windows were rolled up. The victims' names haven't been released. Autopsies are planned. If their deaths are related to the blizzard, that would bring the number of storm-related deaths in the state to seven. State police on Monday released the name of a 79-year-old Prospect woman killed by a hit-and-run driver while she was using her snow-blower Friday night. Troopers are still seeking the driver of the car that hit Mary McCormack. In Shelton, police say Raymond McPadden, 49, of Darrin Drive, died in his vehicle while plowing his private driveway. An autopsy is underway to determine how he died. In New Milford, a 53-year-old man died Friday night while shoveling snow. His name was not available.
