Damn these hit-and-run drivers!!!!!!! I hope ALL of them rot in hell, especially the ones who are never caught!!!!!!!

I hope the two girls recover, bless their hearts. My prayers are with them and their families. I also pray that the police find the scum who hit them soon!!

I'm hoping the girls are not seriouly injured and hope they have a speedy recovery. What is wrong with adults these days that do not take reponsibility for their poor choices in life. Hitting the young girls and not even a care to stop and to run away...What a COWARD!!!! God Bless the girls.

I am a mother of two children. I would like to know where the childrens parents were at. My children are never outside unattended. As a parent you have a contract to protect your children. That contract and responsbility does not end because you have something to do. I am sorry but people need to do a better job of watching their children. I also work in a retail business and parents that come in their think that our toy section is their free babysitting service. Sorry but there is an exit door right by that section that someone could take your child out of and disapper with in 60 seconds. So i don't feel sorry for the parents who think that it okay to let their children run around where ever they please without having to watch them.

Given the population of Denver and the surrounding area, if EVERY hit and run was reported on 9news, chances are there'd be no room for any other news. In NY these are daily occurences and not even news worthy, there are so many. So don't get your knickers in a twist. Blame the population density. The higher the density, the greater the chance this will happen. This kind of stuff isn't even news anymore, it's called "jumping on the bandwagon".

So what you are saying is that you are with your children 24/7 and nothing could possibly happen to them? Get real. I have two young children and they are always supervised, however, I don't have to be on top of them to do it.

This is a sad and horrible accident and I really hate that the idiots in this world have to turn it into a Racial thing. This could have happened to anyone and my heart breaks for those families and for all the pain and suffering that was caused by this terrible tragedy! I hope those girls are okay and that the person who caused it gets what he deserves because of what he did, not because of the color of his skin.

Well, the story has been updated. One of the girls died, the other was brought to Children's Hospital in Denver with serious injuries. The driver was apparently a 15-year-old mutton head. What the hell was he doing driving, and where were HIS parents?!?!?!?!?!

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of the child that died, and I pray the other girl recovers.

God I pray that you are with this family at this time. Bless the dear child that has is with you at this time. And be with the child that has survived. I pray that the family is comforted. And for the rest of the world, I pray that they would have compassion on the family and to understand that no one is perfect when it comes to protecting our children. Take care of this family and see their needs are met. I pray in Jesus name. Amen

The real terrible part is this is the 2nd child we have lost in this neighborhood. People drive too fast and the police department doesn't do much. Unfortunatly this neighborhood is bad about supervising children but I don't believe that was the case today. If people would take responiblility for themselves & use some common sense like 15yr olds shouldn't drive, we wouldn't have lost another child.

Sound of phone ringing..."Hello, it's every other board on this racist forum-we want our bigoted comment back."
Seriously, the racist thing is SO last week. Get over it.

This is some "diversity" we are interested in celebrating.
