These impersonators keep giving the real police a bad name. At least this one didn't beat anybody and just handcuffed him

That is how the person KNEW it was a fake DPD officer; they survived the encounter!
A dead giveaway that you have a fake cop: Someone who is polite, says, can I help you ( and does ) and behaves like they are willing to " serve and protect " instead of " harass and annoy ".....

First of all respect police officers. Second, ask the police officer to speak with a Supervisor if there is any doubt in your mind that a police officer needs to talk to you about anything you are doing and they seem to be pushing too hard with questions or attitude. The answer should always be yes and they should make the call immediately requesting a supervisor. No, this does not mean be drunk and disorderly and then act like the cops should mind their own business after they show up.

That is usually when you end up dead or in a hospital and the DPD officer has already rounded up their buddies as witnesses and pencil-whipped a " resisting arrest " report....

Of course when you have crazy ideas and drink a lot, the police will try to rough you up and beat some sense into you
