Did you miss the story about the 22 children knifed at an elementary school in China yesterday?

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/thunder-bay/sto...

How about the story about the four that were sprayed with something flammable and set on fire last night? According tot he story this isn't the first time.

http://kwgn.com/2012/12/13/4-sent-to-hospital...

It's not the guns it's the nuts so YES we need to tighten the laws allowing nuts to run loose (Patients bill of rights). NO we do not need more gun laws. In every case there would have been less harm had someone been there to shoot back.

But they are your nuts.

America is split on the gun issue. My side simply says, " you can have your guns as long as you act respectfully". We can live with or without them under that guideline.

Your side owns the gun issue and all the nut cases that come with it. When one acts out, we blame you.

Instead of arguing with me and my kind, you should be anxious to join efforts in finding ways to take a second look at some issues that could result in less shootings at public venues.

That's the action we sensible people want from you and the NRA. We don't want to take your guns away, but let's be honest ... until you are prepared to accept the task of helping find the solution, you're the problem.

It would be no big chore to eliminate guns from America, contrary to common beliefs.

Please re-read my last paragraph. It's the nuts. When legislation was passed making it EXTREMELY difficult to treat the mentally ill we created this situation. They live amongst us because their families can't keep them medicated. They live under bridges and beg on street corners until they commit a crime and are incarcerated. It's the nuts, not the guns..........

Did you read the China story? They don't have guns. Yesterday 22 elementary school children were knifed. You do know the Aurora theater shooter rigged his apartment with a bomb right? What do you suppose he would have done to the theater if guns weren't available? Did you read the second story? Someone is spraying their victims with bug spray and lighting them on fire. Should we make bug spray illegal? The Mira building was blown up with fertilizer. Should we make fertilizer illegal?

My interest doesn't lie with China today.

Nor does it lie with bug spray. When the nation was faced with unacceptable deaths by car accidents, we developed new laws on construction and operation of automobiles.

What do ya think happened?

People started talking on the phone and texting while driving and kept right on running into each other.

In 2011 there were 32,367 traffic deaths

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_motor_ve...

In 2011 there were 11,493 gun deaths

http://www.cdc.gov/nchs/fastats/homicide.htm

Statistically that means motor vehicles kill almost three times as many people as guns do. Should we outlaw cars?

Nothing, drinking while driving is just as bad now as it was then.

I feel for the kids here AND the little ones in China. Kids are kids and that was a very calloused statement. You are either deflecting or missed my point because I didn't dumb it down enough for you.

Lets try it again. Killers will find a way to do their killing and gun laws won't stop the killing. The killers will simply use other methods. We already have over 32,000 gun laws on the books.

Countries where the population is part of the militia and every household is required to be armed actually have very little in the way of gun crimes so your argument for taking away law abiding citizens guns just doesn't solve the problem does it?

What we need are laws dealing with getting the mentally ill people into treatment and keeping them there.

I wonder what they would say if you asked them if they wished an adult at that school had been armed and taken out the shooter before he killed all those kids?

Contrary to gun lovers common beliefs, a wide majority of Americans do NOT agree that more guns is a solution.

80% of NRA membership agrees on more stringent laws pertiaining to gun control.

You'll have to accept the fact that gun hobbyiss let their crazies get too out of control. You brought this on yourselves.
