...what the heck are these opportunists suing for? It's still not clear what Speaker was told when about his condition.

Now Mr, speaker,

you are getting what you rightfully deserve. I hope and pray with this is all over with that you have some type of resposibility. And own up for what you did to the 9 passengers on that same flight you were on. you and your selfish ways finally caught up with you. you and your bleach blonde hussy. that you married should sleep with each other now that you have possably infected her with TB. That show me of what kinda a pig you really are. That you don't care who you hurt or infect with the TB virus. Just as long as you get what you want. Now get this speaker. Eat crap.

Are you kidding me?? Anything to try to get a buck. They need to give up trying to get rich quick on something they "think" they might get. I can't believe that someone is really taking this case. What a bunch of IDIOTS!!!!!

I am now an inch closer to giving up on society. Might as well sue a crying infant on a plane these days.

I understand that he posed a dangerous threat to society, but what justice does it serve to be richer and still be infected with this? Jail him, quarantine him, do whatever, but sue for $$, what justice is that? Greed is taking its toll. Sue-me...this country is too sue-happy, even though the ones suing him are not from the USA, BUT thats besides the point.

This gentleman should be worried about being sued - he knowingly exposed dozens of people to an infections disease. What he did was irresponsible - No question. Hope they make an example of this moron!

To be an adult is to be responsible for your actions and to make good decisions based on current information in any given situation. When you ignore responsibility for your actions against your fellow man than you deserve to be sued. His being an attorney should be no excuse for not doing what is ethically right in any given situation. The oath attorneys take is to "do no harm". I believe in this situation Mr. Speaker ignored his own oath to do no harm when he decided to get on the plane to Europe and then return through Canada so he would not be stopped at the airport when coming back into the United States. Seems he should have followed the laws of the land no matter what country he was in. It would have been only right to protect the citizens against a horrible disease. Seems Mr. Speaker was selfish in his actions and if he gets sued than he deserves it...he knew better.

Wow! It is amazing how "Sue Happy" everyone is. In my life, which the majority of it has been spent in Wyoming, I have NEVER seen so many blood sucking lawyer commercials in my life. It truly makes me sick. Colorado should have some type of law that limits that. It is ridiculous. People need to get money the right way, to EARN it! Don't get me wrong. I know there are cases out there that are legitimate. However, if truth be known, I bet is is a verry small percentage to that of the cases that are filed.

What the hell wrote:
Why sue him? Sue the dumb ass that let him on the freek'n plane. What a bunch of morons. Geez what people will do to get money.
I agree. Though it may have been socially irresponsible for him to board the plane, who can blame him? I would want to get the hell outta a foreign country and back to the US. Who knows what kind of medical care he would have available to him abroad (especially as an American.) Perhaps more of the "blame" lies on those who permitted him to travel commercially, instead of taking part in making arrangements to have him privately, medically transported back to the US. I'm sure that some TB research group would've paid for it!

Because this is really going to make the whole situation better... right? Good to know that our society isn't the only one poisoned by excessive litigation.

The thing that amazes me is that *blood sucking lawyers* immediately get the finger pointed at them. Isn't the litigation initiated by the Average Joe off the street who calls and makes an appointment with the Blood Sucking Lawyer, who then proceeds exactly as requested by the Average Joe off the street who pays the Blood Sucking Lawyer for doing so? Kind of like blaming a doctor for cancer, isn't it? Man creates or discovers the issue, turns to the expert for advice, and then curses the expert for having the knowledge he has to deal with the issue at hand.
Odd.
