As long as they are here unloading drugs, and who knows what else, could we at least load the trucks with illegals and ship them back?

We have to stop our government giving away American jobs in our nation to non-Americans! We are treated like second class citizen's in our own nation!

This is suppose to be his last term (he said he was retiring in ’08 -???) but he did vote NO on the immigration reform bill, which Salazar did not. Salazar also added an amendment that English is only to be our common language not official language (Salazar has 3 years left). I think Allard is going with this because Bush and Republicans want the North American Union along with the Trans-Continental Highway this all started with NAFTA and of coarse his view on the Iraq war is all Republican. This is why we have open borders and not a very secure USA. Most of the Democrats back this immigration and NAU policy also and the only one running for President that is against the Iraq war, the illegal immigration and the NAU is Ron Paul that I have seen so far. Tancredo is against the immigration issues and the NAU but not the Iraq war. There is also Hunter, all are Republicans.

I believe you validated the point as to why we have poor politicians, Most did not know that Allard was not going to run for reelection. Most voters live with the pretense that there is really a difference between a Democrat and a Republican. This is seldom the case. One keeps the payoff in the freezer and the other in some obscure account. Good luck to those of you in "la la" land thinking that things will change when someone else takes Allard's place in Washington, be it Democrat or Republican. Oh yes, don't forget to vote. lol

HEY LINDA, ITS NOT JUST THE REPUBLICANS, ITS THE DEMOCRATS ALSO. THEY LOVE TO HELP OUT THE ILLEGALS SO DONT BLAME THIS ON THE REPBULICANS. BLAME IT ON THE ONE THAT IS MAKING THE COMMENT OR PUSHING A SUBJECT LIKE ALLARD IN THIS CASE. I KNOW MORE DEMOCRATS THAT ARE FOR MORE LEANIENCY ON THE ILLEGALS.

Nice try BLAH. Your demorats are the one's trying to give this country away. All politicians are the same. They are bought and paid for. The dems are in no position to throw stones.

To add to this Salazar repeated the same words to me as how safe this is suppose to be with these Mexican trucks and truckers. I too questioned their safety and reasoning on this.

Spoken like some one who knows nothing of what he speaks, The mexican drivers that are hear now run and hide every time the DOT sets up an inspection station and the ports just wave them through wanting to get some one who can pay fines and fix trucks this is total BS on Allards part.
I wonder if Jimmy Hoffa will show up and set things right.

The middle class is screwed and has no representation in Washington.

The Republicans are bought and paid for by big business, that want cheap labor.

The Democrats want more poor victims that can vote for them so they can raise taxes to pay for more freebies.

Salazar and Allard DO NOT represent the middle class of Colorado.

Maybe we can get a Mexican Senator from the govt. of Mexico to take Allard's job and see if he thinks that is a good thing. This is taking JOBS from AMERICAN CITIZENS. Wake up AMERICA!!!!!!

Right, like I really believe Allard when he says the Mexicans have to adhere to 22 more rules than American truck drivers. Like they are going to follow any of our laws. Who's going to verify they adhere to the laws? Just like all the illegals here already, they don't want to follow any of our laws, they just want to get all the free handouts and then thumb their noses at us. Wake up!!!

Lets see the Democrats are the ones that want to give these illegals everything,if it was not for the teamsters the democrats would care less about this to

Hmm Linda... maybe you need to do a little more research ...

NAFTA is the agreement that is enabling this current policy of Mexican truckers on US roads. Oh...and who was the president that signed that little jewel into law????

GWBush?? Nope.

Bush I? Nope.

Clinton??

Ding ding ding ding ding!!!!!Yes.

It was your buddy Clinton that took that football and ran it all the way to the end zone. So, if you want to throw stones, perhaps you should be looking in the mirror.

He never did try to explain how fair it was, or exactly how letting Mexican trucks drive well into our boarder is going to be good for our economy. I guess they still believe we're still buying into that 'trickle down' theory sold to us years ago?

I moved here from Arizona, have done a lot of work in Mexico and saw first hand the difference in safety standards (one reason our corporations go there in the first place), these guys won't comply, they'll cheat and lie.

He's reciting the party line on Iraq, and kool aid is going to ferment soon.

Clinton and the newly elected congressional majority led by the great pontificator himself, Newt. Don't let facts get in the way of a good spin though, you may have the last word.

If you want some chuckles, call Allard's DC office, and ask them why Allard has his web site in Espanol. You will not believe the answer I got when I called.

Many Senators from both parties are giving our nation away. Everyone needs get involved with their elected officials unless they want the U.S. to resemble Mexico in a couple of short years.

Time to act, folks. The enemy comes from both side of the political aisle, so stop pointing fingers and act now. The Democrats AND the Republicans are giving our nation away.

This isn't a party line issue sweetheart. Government is playing to the Money.*All* government is playing to the money.

Nobody has said "all's well" with the war in a very ling time, republican or democrat. There's half a consensus that things are Improving in Iraq however. Honestly, if you believe *either* political party's rhetoric on this war you're an idiot. Not even the major news outlets give any true coverage. You have to delve through Blogs and smaller more direct news sources to get any kind of real idea of what's going on. And even that seems to be split down the middle.

Quite spouting the "democatric" line, and learn to think for yourself. Party hacking Party is getting old, and annoying, and just makes the people doing it look uneducated and stupid. It's the PEOPLE that are the problem, not the "party".
