Yes she is a sweetie and her ears are soft as velvet. She had some big shoes to fill and she has done so wonderfully. I still miss my Karley, hell I miss all my past dogs but every one of them has been different and special including this one. I might have told you I thought the last owners were too hard on her. It's been heartwarming to watch her bloom as she learns that it's ok to be herself. She's learning tricks now. Stay makes her whine and she can only last about 45 seconds but we just started on that and it's always a hard one.

Oh yes, AFTER I got her I read that Beagles are a stubborn breed. I wasn't going to MAKE her do anything so I had to make her WANT to. I think that's where her last two owners messed up. The same thing works when you're managing people. Make um or make um want to, right?
I've had a couple of other dogs that needed some remedial training. She's got it now. I can pinpoint the day she figured it out too. She WANTS to please me. The closer we get to the treat jar the harder she tries but she's a real sucker for lovins and praise too :)
