Here Are Five Things the Democrats Won’t Tell You. Election campaigns are about promises: the more grandiose, the better. Who can forget President Barack Obama’s June 2008 speech, telling a rapt audience that future generations would look back at his victory in the Democratic primaries as “the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow, and our planet began to heal”? If only he had substituted “deficit” for “oceans.” Candidates love to promise the moon -- at minimum, a colony on it -- and the stars. Years ago, they could avoid mentioning the cost. Nowadays, the U.S. is in such a deep fiscal hole that a candidate would appear to be out of touch if he didn’t invoke “shared sacrifice” or pay lip service to reducing the deficit. Yet that is where they draw the line and limit the specifics. Which is why I’m here to tell you five things the 2012 Democrats don’t want you to know.(Next week, it’s the Republicans’ turn.) http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-10-10/here... ========== And if you are so sure that oblamer is the great healer, how come you are buying precious metals??? I know why I am! I don't believe that oblamer is the great healer... Ibelieve he is the great destroyer!

VisionXIIX wrote: The Republican manufactured "fiscal cliff" is coming back to bite them in the AZZ There would be NO "fiscal Cliff" if the republicans hadn't used tax increases on the top 2% as a bargaining chip during last years debt ceiling debacle. They were so sure Mittens Romney was going to win the election they wouldn't have anything to worry about...well... The Republican Party is truly in crisis, and that crisis is now coming to a head. The popular vote in the most recent election was an endorsement of Obama’s performance and a clear refutation of GOP extremism. The majority in the country want taxes on the top 2% to increase, it appears the Republicans Hell bent on their very own extinction. The cliff has nothing to do with TAXES and everything to do with spending... I guess we'll see who get bit but truthfully it's Americans that get the bad end.

Then perhaps you need to e-mail/call your Republican Senators and let them know of your concern as they apparently are fine with the Presidents proposed spending cuts. They are stonewalling over letting the Bush era tax cuts for the top 2% expire. Federal spending under the Obama administration is at lower than any administration since Reagan (who raised taxes 11 times)

This will be devastating to his re-election in 2016 won't it The entire "fiscal cliff" is and was republican manufactured as they put all their chips on one number and LOST They were so confident Romney was going to win (they shouldn't have listened to Karl Rove and Fox Noise) That they could gamble the tax increases and spending cuts and have nothing to worry about. As usual like YOU they were wrong We are witnessing the self imposed death of the republican party.

Its ok as long as your kids keep working Karl..Im fine..Tax day a commith ..I know obummbler told you your taxes wont go up but the RIGHT people say they will..I kinda weigh it out to reasoning and Im thinking EVERYONE'S TAXES ARE GETTING HIT in some way. Not mine.lol...Remember when he hit our own vehicle license plates another 35 bucks a year each ??And still is ?? It sucks and I had to get rid of some trailers for my toys Karl..It sucks. Its very inconvenient..He hasn't a clue what he is doing unless he is doing it on purpose..Which is my theory of his "Leveling the playing field and redistribution" to the non workers he loves so much because he thinks they are "oppressed" instead of lazy...

Which is more fiscally responsible? Tax and spend, or tax cut and spend? Do you NOT have a memory beyond 5 years, but then again the tea party doesn't have a memory past 2009 Nice language... Can’t broaden your mind enough to be civil yet? “Which is more fiscally responsible? Tax and spend, or tax cut and spend?” How about just cut spending, because an annual trillion dollar deficit is slowly bankrupting our Country (OBAMA is the only president to hold these deficits, so again your "slowest spending president" statement isn't fact). “Do you NOT have a memory beyond 5 years, but then again the tea party doesn't have a memory past 2009” I remember Reagan’s rate reductions caused a huge revenue increase which clinton reaped the benefits of... Bush rates increased revenues as well... What success has Obama cuts had? Sad your understanding of taxes and economy is so poor and you let your distain for the rich guide your head to socialist systems that have ALWAYS failed throughout history. You can’t think rationally when you are guided by your emotions.

Bush rates increased revenues as well. Completely UNTRUE The top tax rate was 70% when Reagan took office the Democrat's in Congress cut it in half to 35%. Reagan was apposed.(I was in Washington D.C. in the 80's studying political science) Reagan did however eliminate many tax loopholes that the rich routinely relied on to avoid paying taxes altogether, forcing them to invest in the free market and actually pay taxes. Shortly after the tax cuts were enacted, the economy took off. EXACTLY what President OBAMA wants to do Respect71 wrote: <quoted text> Sad your understanding of taxes and economy is so poor and you let your distain for the rich guide your head to socialist systems that have ALWAYS failed throughout history. Sad that I have demonstrated NUMEROUS times America does not operate on a Socialistic economic system YET you FAIL to grasp REALITY. Sad you cannot think clearly with your mind is so clouded with Right Wing Radical Propaganda. Wow. I can't grasp history. You better re check your numbers. Your language shows your disrespect and small minded attempts at swaying the leftist point of view. OBAMACARE is extremely socialist. If you deny that your emotions cloud rational thought. I think for myself socialists can't afford that luxury.

Typical for an admitted Tea Party PUPPET The mandate was ruled unconstitutional. That's fact not opinion. Typical liberal, to name call and say rude things because you can't refute. The fact you can't admit you want socialism and attempt twist it to fit the American mold is truthfully sad.

Respect71 wrote: <quoted text> Seriously? Public schools did you in. Respect, I see you all over this place. I read a lot of what you say. What does public school have to do with it? After you answer that I'll let you know that I went to St. John's elementary and a Catholic high school here in Denver. I was switched to a public school in my Junior year. My father owned a beauty salon and also worked there. One day the Sister (Nun) teaching my brothers class had the students stand up and tell what their parents do for a living. When my brother proudly stood up and said what my dad did the Sister (Nun) was shocked and told him not to ever let people know that because hair dressers are queer! TRUE STORY!!! Upon hearing this when dad got home from work he told us that he would be taking all five of us to school the next morning. So in comes my dad, 6'4" tall, 245 lbs and looked like a truck driver...An ugly truck driver:):) Dad looked at the Sister when she got to the office and said "I am the man that work's in a beauty salon, do you want to call me queer to my face?" The sister actually told my dad that she had thought all hair dressers were queer UNTIL NOW! My dad took us out of that school and put us in private school that day. I guess I went on a bit of a tangent there:):)
