We need to cut spending back to the revenue that we generate.

They do give them bus passes now. I have an unfortunate family member who has chosen to live that life and he gets bus passes. Sometimes a whole month pass.
There are many countries who are no longer interested in trading in US dollars and there has been talk of moving away from the dollar as the world currency. A couple of these articles have been posted on this very forum.
Greece and Spain have spent all they could collect and all they could borrow until their debt is moving close to their GDP. Ours is over 70% of GDP which is higher than Spains and approaching Greece. Doesn't matter what you call it. They spent too much and they're in trouble. So have we.
This deal they made last year that they are now calling a fiscal cliff was made under the threat of having our credit rating dropped again. It's just a matter of time before our credit rating is lowered again. Then we will be borrowing at a higher rate. Then we'll see what the world says about our currency and our economy.
Our spending is unsustainable. The longer we ignore it the harder the fall will be when it comes. We are all going to have to change our lifestyles to pay for this mess we've made. There is no such thing as a free lunch.

Except SPENDING more than you have isn’t a problem for you? Your math doesn’t help the economy. Costco is already writing out dividend checks for 2013… Why do you suppose that is? What impact on taxes does it have? I already know but if you truly want to understand economics you should find out.

Your link took me to a bunch of lists of a bunch people advertising tax help. I already have an accountant. Do you have a link to a credible economist? If you do I'll go find one that says the opposite. If you look at the facts it's pretty obvious that barring a miracle we aren't going to be in good shape in 2015.
