Don't even have to wait for a meteor. NY and California are so far in debt it's just a matter of time. They will be the first to fail. Several cities and counties in California have already had to declare bankruptcy. Oops, there go those ridiculous pensions the unions negotiated knowing there was no possibility they could be funded. More hospitals closed down. Fewer teachers, police and fire services, potholes as big as your cars. But they sure did take good care of all those illegals that came there for the free stuff didn't they?
I swear the liberals won't understand it until they start issuing IOU's instead of foodstamps. Which reminds me, did you know that Californians that were owed a tax refund last year got a letter telling them they would have to wait? That's right. People couldn't get their OWN money back until more funds became available. I hope they remembered to change their W-4's this year so they didn't over pay their taxes.

Lol. Sad.

Socialism is all inclusive right. It accounts for all and individual liberties right? The fact that you think socialism is a only "economic system" shows how you follow the leader so blindly. These are not hateful statements, just fact.

AGAIN some facts and TRUTH....Obviously something you struggle with.

Socialism and a democratic government cannot be compared because socialism is an economic system while our democracy/republic is a political ideology.

Economic systems like socialism and political ideologies like democracy can co-exist in the same society.

Most experts conclude that the best blend of socialism and democracy is the one that recognizes and balances individual freedom and rights on one end and social cooperation on the other.

It's you who struggles with fact and truth. The one who substitutes "lie" for disagreement. Not to mention your lack of understanding of how America is structured. We are NOT a democracy and natural rights are free.

What is the key thing needed for socialism as an economic system?

I have said at least 50 times the United States is a republic with a democratic political system thus we are a democracy/republic

The United States has a two party political system in a Republic form of government

In a Socialistic economic system the people through the government own and operate the economic system.

Like I also have said repeatedly there is no such thing ON EARTH as a "pure" Capitalistic economic system

Like I said your lack of understanding is the most amazing thing about you.

Again I ask what is the key for the socialist economic system?

A socialism-driven economic system is basically operated by the government, voted for by the people for the people.

Again and AGAIN

Socialism is an economic SYSTEM not a "value" and or "belief"

"socialism-driven economic system is basically operated by the government" exactly!! which by default causes "socialism-driven economic system" to be a political system and no matter who voted for them (remember the Obama win is marginal). The system is a political-economic system that is NOT for ALL people. When you owned GM did you see a return? You certainly will see no return on OBAMACARE even though it's a sixth of the US economy. It is a system that denies natural rights, no one thinks for them selves and American values are lost. Tout it all you want but it isn't good for America or Americans, but because you're a socialist you follow your leaders and try to force those who think for themselves to do socialism.

Thank God we're a republic.

Karl. This just in......You almost quoted that right.LMASSOFF.All except the part about "voted for by the people"...That part is far from the truth..Socialism is forced upon us much like right now.Nice try on your lie though..

Socialism is an economic system characterised by social ownership of the means of production and co-operative management of the economy,[1] and a political philosophy advocating such a system. "Social ownership" may refer to cooperative enterprises, common ownership, state ownership, or citizen ownership of equity.[2] There are many varieties of socialism and there is no single definition encapsulating all of them.[3] They differ in the type of social ownership they advocate, the degree to which they rely on markets or planning, how management is to be organised within productive institutions, and the role of the state in constructing socialism.[4]

A socialist economic system would consist of a system of production and distribution organized to directly satisfy economic demands and human needs, so that goods and services would be produced directly for use instead of for private profit[5] driven by the accumulation of capital. Accounting would be based on physical quantities, a common physical magnitude, or a direct measure of labour-time in place of financial calculation.[6][7] Distribution would be based on the principle to each according to his contribution.

As a political movement, socialism includes a diverse array of political philosophies, ranging from reformism to revolutionary socialism. Proponents of state socialism advocate the nationalisation of the means of production, distribution and exchange as a strategy for implementing socialism. In contrast, libertarian socialism proposes the traditional view of direct worker's control of the means of production and opposes the use of state power to achieve such an arrangement, opposing both parliamentary politics and state ownership. Democratic socialism seeks to establish socialism through democratic processes and propagate its ideals within the context of a democratic political system.

Modern socialism originated from an 18th-century intellectual and working class political movement that criticised the effects of industrialisation and private property on society. In the early 19th-century, "socialism" referred to any concern for the social problems of capitalism irrespective of the solutions to those problems. However, by the late 19th-century, "socialism" had come to signify opposition to capitalism and advocacy for an alternative system based on some form of social ownership.[8] Marxists expanded further on this, attributing scientific assessment and democratic planning as critical elements of socialism. In the late 20th century, the term "socialist" has also been used by Third way social democrats to refer to an ethical political doctrine focusing on a common set of values emphasizing social cooperation, universal welfare, and equality.[9]

Probably has to make a new profile too...The last one might have exploded...They can spin and post propaganda all day until we show up and then they shut down when confronted with actual News articles and statistics and not just opinions from lefty propaganda sites.

Its just a hobby anymore.I dont really read the entire comment of theirs before I spot a "Mistruth"..lol..and already know where the real article is.
