That means despite 228,000 people hitting retirement age the total percentage of the population employed still went up 0.1% of the population. 0.1% more people, as a percentage of TOTAL POPULATION, in this country had a job and the end of September than at the beginning of September despite 228,000 people retiring.<quoted text>
