Aww, Mr. Labor, did your boxers go wrong. Wasn't telling you to Belt up your pie hole. But it is nice to know that men have nipples too, your getting so excited. But I am sure your going to get all bladdered now because that is your right too. But look who blew off, you are getting a little cheeky, so Bob's your uncle.

You just said she is doing her job, that is how government is support to work. She was voted in to office as a representative of her district. She has the responsibility to represent the people of that district that voted for and keep their best interests in mind, and not the interests of all Americans. So I thank you for telling me and all others on this forum that she is doing what she was elected for and is doing her job well.
Elected officials have dual roles. They are to keep the best interests of their districts close to their hearts, of course. But they also have to keep the interests of the Country first and foremost. Should they vote for something that helps their constituents at the expense of the rest of the Country, then they are doing long-term damage to their own constituents.

Markey is resolutely devoted to Obama's misguided policies and is therefore causing irreparable and irredeemable harm to her constituents. She's voted FOR every spending bill, FOR every taxation increase, FOR the unConstitutional "health" scam (which, if it stands, effectively deconstructs the Constitution).

Markey places ideology over long-term National solvency and sanity. Markey is history.

You sound like a special interest, the people come first, the only other role is to up hold the constitution Of the United States. On the other issues you speak of she is to ask her constituents how they would like her to vote.

Is the citizenry a "special interest"?
Yes, the most important Special Interest.

And Markey did NOT consult her electorate (like most other Dems who voted their ideology).
She studiously avoided meeting her Constituents.
They told her, time and again, that they were against the policies of the Obama and Company. Her final (and mandatory) consult with them will be Nov 2.

Actually, Markey DID vote against the unemployment extensions. And not like she voted against Obamacare the first time and then for it under pressure- she actually voted with Republicans in CO against the extensions. Too little too late.

She grossly miscalculated her final ObamaCare vote. She thought she would get support from the White House this fall, and the NY Times came out this week and said she is NO 1 on the "hit list" of Dems being sacrificed while their election efforts go elsewhere.

Her net worth, according to her "disclosure" in 2007 was between 5 Million and 25 Million. Oh, those evil, rich...Democrats? LOL!

The first thing that came to mind in reading your dialog is, the supreme court ruling that a corporation is a citizen?

The vast majority of average citizens have been slammed with HIGHER taxes and stupendous debt - most of which has been used in highly Partisan ways. Payoffs to Unions, projects for Blue State (with little left over for Red States), impedence of jobs creation, massive new mis-regulation, and a whole host of other damaging foolishhness.

Three prime examples -
*Obama enacted the worldwide, highest in history, tax increase just days into office with the tobacco tax. This tax primarily hits the lowest income levels (60% will be paid by those earning under $30k).

* PPACA - the scam of Obamacare. This farce stupendously increases government oversight into individaul lives, at enormous cost, while doing not a single thing that the salespitch claimed it would do. Even the CBO admits that the numbers were cooked and have little basis in reality. Almost as many people will remain without health insurance coverage, it will cost far, far, far more than estimates claim, and healthcare availability will be reduced. This Act we will pay for in lives!

* Expiration of the '01/'03 tax cuts. If these cuts are allowed to expire, and it looks likely that they will, then the lowest incomee bracket will increase by 50%.

Try to find a lie in there DA!
Don't just claim it, prove it.
I'm afraid you're S.O.L., cause ya won't find anything wrong.

And your point is?

Entity status was granted so that Corporations could look out for their own interests and be responsible "citizens". They can sue, or be sued, be held accountable for illegalities, spend on their interests (goods, lobbying).

I believe you are PO'd about Corporate lobbying. These expenses are far less than you probably believe, have primarily benefitted Dems, and are to ensure fair treatment by Congress. Were they NOT to defend themselves from unwieldy and illegal regulations the only voices Congress would hear are those of the radical Left, who would love nothing better than to destroy our governance and economic systems.

The vast majority of citizens received tax breaks under Obama.

Give me some sign that you acknowledge that your talking point about that is incorrect rushian babble.

Mkay?

I'm sorry they hit a nerve with your tobacco tax...now get over it.

"Obamacare"? As you've been reminded numerous times...your chicken little scenarios don't exist in Countries whose systems we hope to emulate.

Lastly, you're a little behind the 8 ball on the tax cut talking points as the Obama Administration has said that they'll extend the tax cuts for nearly all Americans.

Anything else, or can we call you debunked once again?

cjlyin.

You are so very right on her voting. Time after time, she has voted to spend yet today I saw her campaign commercial that states the solution is not spending- or something like that. She is hoping that the people in her district are to dumb and ill-informed to figure out that she is a hypocrite.

Is that when we (workers) received an extra appx.$10 per week in your check? I guess to some $120 per year is a whole lot but it didn't seem like much of a break.

I thought Phred's post was informative. I notice neither lefty on this thread, DL or CMM, made note of it. She voted against extending unemployment and is one of the evil rich. Or is that ok or not mentionable because she is a Democrat?

Actually, we did see some tax relief this year, such as the "work pays" or whatever. I'll take it- we gave it to our secretary as a nicer bonus this year. She is saving it, not spending it, because she sees tough times ahead. Common opinion.

But 2011 is going to be bad with all the expired tax law backlash. This fixation Obama has with these targeted tax credits does NOT encourage consumer spending. Why would I upgrade or grow if nobody is buying?

And businesses aren't just looking for loans- we want to stay away from more debt, which Obama & CO clearly do not compute. My business is not slave to many regulations, but manufacturers in this country can't compete with China and India and Mexico.

Keep the Bush tax cuts (or even extend them for those making under $250K and give those making over $250K a little bump, not the anticipated one- create some certainty, at least). Ease up on this Goliath EPA mandates. Eveything Obama does suffocates growth, it seems.

Unless you are a Union member, of course. Then he fights to undermine the CORRECT Supreme Court decision to level the playing field in elections by promoting that partisan pick and choose legislation DISCLOSE. Rules for some and rules for others- it's the liberal way.

Oh, and it's not just the tax cuts that need addressing. The Estimated Minimum has not been dealt with- AGAIN, and could really hurt middle income earners. And the Estate Tax- if they don't address it it will go to 1 Mllion next year- there was NONE this year because Congress is sitting and rotating on their thumbs while being busy busy busy with new rules while ignoring the old ones that run this country. There is a package of 50 Tax laws that came from the House last October that is still sitting. When Congress comes back into session they had BETTER deal with it if they want to see any confidence from businesses.
