Do you have any proof of this belief?
I have the same proof to it as you have to the contrary.

More, if you consider that there are people who don't WANT to be gay who are. Why would someone chose to be something they don't want to be? And don't pull that religion crap on me, you won't convince me of anything through storybooks.

I have not said anything yet? You are freaking out wothout even knowing what I am thinking....

My reason for asking is that just because someone has a belief, for or against something, doesnt mean that yours is the right way... you get mad when people express thier opinion. They have just as much right as you do. Try using facts behind your opinions... You criticize the "story book" because you don't follow it. Realize that billions of people follow this "story book." I am not saying it is fact or truth, just stating that more Christians in this world have been criticized for thier views than gays have... Why aren't you quick to defend them?

Oh by the way I have known lots of people addicted to porn, who don't want to be... etc... That point really doesn't work, because most religous faiths consider homosexuality a sexual addiction just like porn or drungs might be.

My opinon on homosexuality is that my opinion doesn't matter. It's not my life to tell people what to do... if my God says it's wrong, than my God can judge the person guilty.

One more thing... why can't a man get another man pregnant? Why can't women have babies together?

I'm not sure either...

More proof that being overly religious causes ingorance.
Blaming someone for being gay would be like me blaming you for being female.
Actually the analogy would be, if this young lady has urges but decides not to act on them for a higher moral purporse, then a gay person can have urges but decide not to act on them for a higher moral purpose. No, I don't subscribe to any idea that homosexuality is immoral. However, there is a valid argument that people chose to ACT on their gay urges even if they can't chose the urges themselves, and many people live happy lives NOT acting on their urges. And in general, you might note that ALL human urges are animalistic in nature and it is laws, morality and yes, church, that have made people's lives better by learning to resist natural desires. So cudos to this young lady for having the wisdom that many twice or three times her age do not yet possess.

I would like to pleg to stay pure. I live my life for Christ. I have a hard life at school with all the girls throwing themselves upon me and would like to end it but haven't quite found the answer to my problem.
Then I found scriptures in the bible that have helped me in staying away from the temptation of drugs, cheating, sex, and other things such as that. If someone could help me email me at [email protected]

it is great to stay pure because you have no worries about STD and others. its also a great respect to your body. and when you get married, your gift to your spouse is ur purity

Studies have shown that these "purity pledges" don't significantly prevent teens from having sex until they marry.

They do, however, postpone FIRST SEX by an average of a year.

okay... look..
im in my sophomore year of high school and i made my promise in the 7th grade that I was going to stay abstinent until marriage.. and up to this day, I have kept it. Yes, it may be "the best feeling" whatever crap, that alot of people say that sex is, but if people WANT to keep this promise, then why not.? I think it's absolutely ridiculous that alot of people(not all) now days sleep with just anybody from left to right.I am NOT trying to criticize anyone, but you people cant just simply assume that people who keep this pledge are "the first ones to lose it".. thats just a bunch of bullshit... And yes, sexual temptation WILL come our way and it already HAS come my way, but at least we have more strength and self control than "ET A LIFE"does.. at least we have the decency to wait for"the one". But I have only one thing to say to you HATERS against this out there:
I can be like you ANYTIME, and lose my virginity whenever the hell i'll feel like it,
but you could NEVER be like me and take what was once yours back from you..
so "GET A LIFE",.. STOP CRITICIZING OUR RELIGION AND WE WONT CRITICIZE YOU...
