Unless you've been deployed to a war zone for the last 15 months I don't really think you have a right to question how our soldiers act upon their return. They've been away from family, friends and anything that is familiar to them for a long time. They've seen things we cannot imagine, experienced events that will scar them for life, and lost people who are close to them. These soldiers live with their units as families and losing three of them in such a close knit community is a tragedy and does not warrant criticism of their behavior. One of these men was my son's driver during this deployment and he was very close to him. He spoke at his memorial service and felt the loss of the soldiers deeply. This is a sad time for everyone who knew these fine young men and they deserve the respect of all of us - no matter how they died.
After a 24 month deployment, nobody’s allowed to question their actions if they rape, pillage or murder.

These soldiers are heros just as all our soldiers are. They worked very hard for all those months in Iraq and they also encouraged each other to stay strong in at times some pretty tough situations. These were all very good guys as my bf knew them well and after returning from Iraq they were so happy to be out of Iraq and were simply doing what so many Americans do on their days off each weekend from work..they went out and had some fun. Because of our soldiers we get to have our freedom and spend our weekends going out just as these guys have...cept they only get the chance after a deployment for a short time...where as we get to every weekend and evenings after work if we so choose....they were entitled to go out and have some fun and very sadly had that fun time cut short due to an accident. From what my bf tells me the driver was not drinking...he was the designated driver. My heart goes out to the families and loved ones of these soldiers and my prayers are with you. These were good men.

For any one that is interested there are several articles on Stars & Stripes web site www.stripes.com . They have a picture of the car they were in, in one of the stories. There is another article that talks about hundreds pay tribute. I hope that anyone that read these will say a pray for each of these soldiers that lost their lives and a special pray for the 2 that survived this autobahn crash.
How do I look it up on that web site???

I know I am very late with this, but just today I was looking through my myspace comments to say hello to people I havent talked to in a while, and Mikes picture popped up..I clicked on his profile to leave a comment, and started seeing comments of Rest In Peace, and I was a little confused...I then typed his name in on Google, and it brought up the article about the crash...Mike and I joined the Army at the same time, went through processing at the MEPS station together in Florida, and I must say, when I first met him, we really didnt get along. We ended up in-processing at the 43rd in Missouri together, and it was there that we developed a crush on oneanother. After i spent 2 years at my 1st duty station, I wound up in Kansas and deployed from there to Baghdad, Iraq. I knew he was here, so I contacted him...we hung out a couple times, played pool together, and would occasionally bump into eachother at the PX here on the base...It always surprised me, that after 3 years..we still had crushes on eachother...
What happened is definitly tragic..and just now learning of it today, my heart is so crushed...his passing was also added to another friend of mine that died a few days ago..he was only 20.
Mike and the others will be forever loved and missed.
((Mike sweetheart, I will never forget you..and you will always be in my heart))
My heart also goes out the the families and friends of the other men that fought so bravely for our country. May they all finally be at peace.

Mike Clark was my battle buddy. I met him in fort sam houston in 2006 while we were training. He was very popular among us soldiers and very fun to be around. I kept in touch with him thru his deployment & my last time talking to him was right before he left iraq. I've relocated to a different state and jus found out that mike had passed thru a mutual friend of ours.I have nothing but fond memories of mike and his family are truly in my prayers and also as a soldier you have no idea how it feels to be away from your loved ones, in a foreign place with people that you may or may not know but are all you have to really depend on so before we pass judgement on why or how this incident happened all that really matters is that young promising lives were lost. Lives that were risked to depend this great country and no matter how a soldier dies it is honorable because he/she is jus that... a solder. Mike I will always carry you in my heart love. Forever your battle, Jazmine.

I was a good friend of someone who died in the crash.
I heard it a way later what happened.
I knew that he loved to party and it drives me crazy that this happened now!
and also just right after they came back from deployment and just wanted to go and enjoy them'self a little.

Mike Clark...
He was a real good guy and the youngest who passed away.
I feel very sad when I think back of the good times we had!
He is in my prayers, just like his family.
and all the other guys who had to die,I pray for them as well.
I hope people learn from it and will stop " DRINKING AND DRIVING!!!"
It really shouldn't be this way ,cause some people won't listen.
