I was in the 32nd Data Processing Unit, 501st Admin Co, 1st AD from '68-'69.
I was 19 years old at the time. We fed, clothed, and paid 15,000 warriors.
I ate in the Repo Depot mess hall with the 501st Military Police Co. It wouldn't be unusual for 500 men, returning from SE Asia to show up for in-processing out of blue spuriously. We ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Most of us had some college under our belt. I ETS'ed on Sept. 19th, 1969
with an early out to attend Georgia Tech.

Keep your 'gig line' straight.
