My daughter has Lupus SLE. shes had many problems health wise. will it ever come to the states?

To Karen LaRue: I am also from Little Rock, living in California; my daughter has Lupus; I started a Lupus Support Group in my town; I read all information possible on the subject with the intent of educating the public; I pray that a cure will someday be found; I have looked for charities to help sponsor the group because we have no funds. I hope that your daughter is progressing well.

I have sle lupus and I am truly interested if this drug can give me a better quality of life and if it can put my lupus in remission. I am from north carolina and I personally would love to get in on the studies I hear that they have in Chicago.

Diagnosed in 1972 my problems have come and gone into remission too.[which I am hoping for right now.] I,too, have lupus s.l.e. and would be willing to act as guinea pig for any new drug which would give me a better quality of life.My pain moves around so much ;sometimes I wonder why all this pain,but then realize it could be worse.[Could it ?] Living in Saskatchewan,Canada, I had hoped that summer would ease the pain,but not so.Some days a walker has to be used.I also have Raynaud's which really cripples me up at times. Add in Sjogren's, Lichen Planus and high blood pressure---feels as if I have hit the jackpot some days.
But, and I think this is important,I am still coping with my house and life ; so I have to pause once in a while and sit down.I turn to either my computer or a book,so that I do feel I am still accomplishing something.I also do some counselling,[adults] and tutoring children who are having problems with school work.
Hey,I just read that last paragraph,so lupus is not controlling me and my life,-a great positive thought.
My sister in the u.k. also has lupus--amazing how closely our symptoms mirror each other.
