It is hard to believe that the BND and the CIA couldn't see through this guy. Especially since he had no corroberating evidence to support his lies.

I guess he told them what they wanted to hear. Now after 35,000 U.S. troops have been killed or wounded, we find out what kind of crap our urgent rush to war in Iraq was based on.

Anybody that believes that we went to war on the basis of "Curveball's" info needs to take a short vacation and pull themselves together.

The decision to go to war was based on the overall situation in the region, and it was probably made before Bush and Powell made any reference to Curveball's reports on Saddam's efforts to make WMDs.

No doubt that there was more to the decision to invade Iraq than "curveball" malarkey.

Still the fact that this guys lies were used by Powell, Bush and Cheney to support the invasion does not speak well for the intelligence community or the administration.

And what now? An Iraqi dustman or assistent of cook will be blamed for the whole war, whole genocide of Bush and US psychopathic army. It is pathetic. It is funny. This war, all these war crimes, all genocides commited there by US psychopaths are the blame of Bush, Powell, Cheney. They should be tried in Nuremeber and not a lamentable small shit - Iraqi dustman.
He lied because he wanted to have a few dollars. It is pathetic that some people just like this guy can run to extremes to gain some dollars and it gives a pathetic picture of USA too - just such people are popular and very welcomed there: national traitors who can do own nation only disservance. About million people were murdered there.
