Dr. Lecter, this is one reason I dislike the Germans. They protect their war criminals and wouldn't dream of shipping the villains to another country for trial. How dare they arrest
an 89 year old innocent and destroy the old man's

For starters, Germany should prosecute arch-German Nazis that organized and executed the Babyn Yar massacre in Kyiv, Ukraine that resulted in al least 100, 000 victims.

And as for John Demjamjuk -- given the disinformation, misinformation, speculations, propaganda and outright imbecilities surrounding the looming John Demjanjuk show trial-- I suggest the tried and true legal maxim:

"Presumed innocent unless proven guilty."

Agreed. Guilty or not, he is old, frail and should have been left alone at this point. He's been tortured for decades by people who can't even prove his alleged atrocities. The alleged Nazi is looking a lot better, from a moral high ground POV, than the fanatical Nazi hunters right now. In their obsessive fanatical quest to nail every Nazi they can before they die of old age, the Nazi hunters are looking much like the Nazis they hunt.

Let the old man alone. Return him to the U.S. where he can peacefully live out his final days. If he is guilty as charged, God will deal with him eventually.
