The German Foreign Ministry's web site proudly states how much Germany cares about justice and international law. The following statement is made:
"Having an effective International Criminal Court will have three consequences:
Firstly, those responsible for war, displacement and genocide will no longer be able to escape criminal responsibility under the shield of national sovereignty.
Secondly, potential offenders may be deterred - they will have nowhere left where they can feel safe. Thirdly, there will be positive knock-on effects on national criminal law and legal theories."
However, Germany's belief in justice and international law appears to be VERY selective according to its selfish interests! How does the statement in Germany's Foreign Ministry web site apply to the Republic of Cyprus? Germany's foreign minister, parliament and ex-chancellor Gerhard Schroder care a lot about the "isolation" of the Anatolian Turkish SETTLERS in occupied Cyprus (a war crime according to the 1949 Geneva Convention) and don't give a damn about those that were ethnically cleansed, raped and murdered by the Turks. Schroder's illegal visit to the occupied territory of Cyprus and his unacceptable statements while there make him a war criminal. He demonstrated that he has less moral values than a cockroach! Is this the way Germany understands justice?
The Anatolian settlers who are protected by 40.000 Turkish soldiers are "isolated" but those who cannot go home are not isolated! How is this "logic" different than Hitler's? Germany owes big to the Greeks. Germany must return the loan that the Nazi government got from Greece by force (with interest) and pay for all German crimes against Greeks, like the killing of my innocent grandfather, instead of providing support to the killer Turks!
