How often have you heard that to own a home is to live the American dream? The notion is deeply entrenched in the American psyche.

Germany is the size of Kentucky and Oregon combined. All the land was bought up centuries ago. Of course they prefer to live in an apartment because there's not the abundance of land on which to build a house which there is in the US. besides, German intellectuals and artists are professional depressives. For them, behind every cloud is another cloud. Who cares what they think? They're just as programmed for doom and gloom as Americans are to be enthusiastic and optimistic.

It makes sense, though, since there won't be a Germany a hundred years from now. The Turks and other Muslims will have won the breeding war and the only German speakers left will be opera singers and historians.
