You see i was a young g.i. in the early 80's who guarded that wall. It seemed so long ago,not just in time but in policy of governments. The perception of how people thought were one way or the other.You either thought in democracy or communism. That was normally decided by what side of that wall you lived on. So many families were effected by that wall.I can still remember many of the faces and conversations i had with german citizens, young and old.I don't think young people really understand how the those times effected the way we all perceived things .
When someone asked you about how you felt about anything from politics to sports,You had to take into account how does it relate to east west the Wall, and then you could answer the question.
