I just watched the video and I cannot believe those women were subjected to that right by the roadside. Obviously this has been a recurring behavior by that female officer involed and it is just plain wrong.

This just shows the mindset of many law enforcement that its just a big control game and if they think that that you have marijuana on you,asa many people do, then you are a lawbreaker so they've "won" and can treat you any way they please. This has got to stop.Did we learn nothing from Prohibition?

Lesson one: If you're driving a car reeking of pot smoke, don't do stupid stuff like throw litter out in front of a police officer and draw attention to yourself. Very dumb! Officer then has probable cause to stop you and when the heavy pot odor was present, there was probable cause to search the car and in case of female occupants, search for stash in the slash where so many females poke their drugs and smoke in a traffic stop.

I was stopped the other day for going "54 in a 45." Trouble was, I had the cruise set at 45 and the gps said I was going 43. When I pointed this out to the officer he said "are you calling me a liar."

Then you have to play the yes sir no sir shuffle game. They searched the back of the pickup without my permission, violating the plain sight rule as much as possibe. They don't need probable cause. All they have to do is lie.

They checked my eye movement for five minutes while other officers violated my rights. The test was so I couldn't see what they were doing.

But according to what I saw and heard this did not happen, so I agree with the others this is just plain wrong.

The people of the United States want pot legal, who the FK does this welfare government think they are going against what the people want. They have no right to go against the people, these scum are suppose to be representing us not them.

No one needs to be cavity searched because they got high and not by some loser cop that isn't a doctor.

Then don't be STUPID enough to draw attention to yourself by doing STUPID things like littering in front of an officer. That is asking to be stopped and then when the stench of pot comes out the window, you have just entered yourself into" probable cause to search". It just shows how STUPID some people can be. If skanky women didn't hide stash in their slash, there would be no need for cavity search. The police deal with this lower level of society dailey so they pretty well know who does and who doesn't.

But according to what I read and saw they were not using drugs, so sounds as though the police are not mind readers as to who is using and who is not.

They didn't find drugs but the odor was present in the car and that is normally probable cause just as they were doing last night on the DUI traffic checkpoints. If the police smell alcohol, that's probable cause. It amazes me that people still are STUPID enough to drink and drive on new years eve even they know the police are out there in announced and surprise checkpoints. Those caught last night brought it all on themselves.

Doesn't sound to me as though they really found an odor as they claim they did. Have you ever heard of the police not telling the truth? No signs of drugs, I tend to believe the victims in this case.

The police also have their share of "regular customers" to deal with. They could have been of that select group too. We'll never know the rest of the story till it gets through the courts. best way to prevent situations like this is to obey traffic laws, don't litter in front of an officer, keep you music down, and have ALL your lights in working order, tag lights too. Having even one out is probable cause for warning stop. Smell alcohol or MJ and the hassle begins.
