I've known Kory for over 10 years. He was my aunt and uncles neighbor. While I am sorry for your loss, I do not agree with what is happening to Kory right now. The "victim" was drunk, hitting on Kory's wife, then he took it to the next step and made the altercation physical. When Kory asked the man to leave, he didn't. At that point he's trespassing. Kory said that he pulled the trigger accidentally. I don't know if that's true or not, but the "victim" was clearly out of line. I'm not saying that he should've died, but there were consequences to his actions. Kory does not deserve prison time. Again, I'm sorry for your loss but your loved one was not exactly innocent. Most husbands in Kory's position would've done the same thing.

By the way...murder is not murder. How many shots were fired? One? You don't shoot once to murder somebody. Manslaughter, maybe, but at that point the victim was trespassing without question. People have been shot and killed for less with no legal punishment.

I know Kory and his wife too and am sick over this whole situation. Had Lenny not come to this party uninvited and provoked this entire situation everyone would be alive today. I don't know Lenny and from what I understand no one did at this party. He sure sounded like a trouble maker though and his widow and son are left with that now. Kory was wrong for killing him that is for sure. Lenny did not deserve to die. Kory does deserve to be punished thanks to Lenny's actions.

I'm a bit baffled at the comments from the two individuals who say what a wonderful husband, father and friend Kory was. As long as I have known that white trash sob, he has been nothing but a lousy father, a wife (1st) beater, abusive, a drunk, and a big mouth jerk. He can't ever keep his mouth shut. I'm certain that is what initiated this whole thing. He has major issues. Anyone who grew up with two alcoholic parents, and witnessed his mother's suicide has issues. He's a drunk with a very big mouth. The reason there was probably a gun in the house was b/c he and his current wife were having an affair while Amy was still married. Stupid Amy, didn't think to change the locks and her husband let himself in and beat the crap out of Kory. Something I'm certain he deserved. I hope he burns in hell!!!
I love these replies because everybody who is against Kory seems to have the education of a four year old. I come from a family of divorce, my brother OD'd, and my step-dad beat my mother(I called the cops on him by the way) and I've grown up pretty sane.

Everybody wants to think that their friend/family are great human beings. Especially when they pass. They're too blind to see the person that actually existed. Enjoy living in your fantasy world though. I hope it suits you well.

What happened that night was tragic. It is so sad that Lenny lost his life, but he was taking that chance when he decided to take the actions he did that night. Kory and Amy were in their home. Their SAFE place. Two men came into their SAFE place and took advantage of them. Those two men robbed them. I feel that those two men ruined and distroyed so many people that night by their actions. If anyone should be punished by this, it should be the so called friend that brought Lenny to the Turner house and let this happen. He is the guilty one. He is the one that should be doing the time behind bars.

I believe Kory turner is getting exactly what he deserves. He killed Lenny while he was leaving the Turner's house that night.
During the trial 3 witnesses testified that Amy Turner was willingly making out with Lenny while Kory was passed out in their front yard.
Earlier in the evening, Kory was seen flirting with other women at their neighborhood party. I don't know if this made Amy Turner jealous - or if it caused her to want to get even with him by making out with Lenny and Dave.
After Lenny was shot, Amy Turner went back into her house and locked all the doors. She made a 911 call and did not let Kory back into the house. Was she afraid that Kory Turner was going to shoot her next? No one knows but Amy. She has said that she was very drunk that evening - but she was still thinking fairly clearly based on her actions after the murder.
This was not a home invasion - it was a neighborhood party. This was not a sexual assault - it was 2 consensual adults making out. Anyone who heard the testimony at the trial - including the jury - knows this.
Several events involving Kory's past behavior came to light during the sentencing phase of the trial. Kory Turner and his brother, Keith Turner apparantly hit a runner with their vehicle and tried to leave the scene. This has left the runner permanetly impared. No charges could be filed because of the runner's condition.
Several people on various chat rooms and forums have claimed that this was a home invasion and a sexual assault.
I think it is ridiculous that people are still defending a murderer's actions.

I am not sure why somebody is upset with me and referring to karma but ok. I heard about the sentencing and was just curious to see the outcome of this and I find it interesting how the defense changed the story so much over the past 2 years. When this all came out there was NO talk of sexual assualt and it would appear that the jury saw through that. There is really no reason to battle this out on the internet becuase Kory has had his day in court and was judged by a jury of his peers. It would seem that justice was served.

The victim was screwing Korys wife Amy Kershner first on kitchen counter and then this animal was screwing Amy on the side of the house oh wait do not let forget the angle (NOT) Amy was doing her Aunts boyfriend in Korys bed. 3 kids witnessed this. Kory could have only told these pigs so many times to leave. I feel he was justified the ONLY mistake Mr. Turner made was not making the Uncle take her ass and run. Watch out men she is out there. I promise if this happens to you with Ms. Kershner her memories seem to leave her but then states after Kory was convicted it is all her fault. Sounds like perjury in a murder case Amy!!! No love lost for you. Maybe one day in your evil life you can sleep again without drugs.
