I am not Catholic and never would be - didn't marry the first man that I truly loved and could have because of that fact - I refused to raise my children Catholic. Now, of course, he regrets his position on that and has left the church, himself. And, is married to a woman he no longer loves....but, he has 3 children that he adores and would never leave.

I just don't see how the USA is centrally involved in this - The Vatican is a "place" all in itself.....and, if anyone is truly married to the church, it's the Italians.
