Greg Lemond, you are a JERK, a HAS BEEN, and an UGLY one at that ( and I mean physically)you´re just jealous that Lance has beaten you and became so big and famous....at least he´s doing something for humanity, what did you do GREG? besides badmouthing your own peers?

Why can't you just leave the man alone!, Lance has done more for the great sport of cycling and cancer than any body past and present and continues to inspire the sick and the young to get up and go for the challange of their lives.
It's the same old story do well and they'll knock you down, do poorly and your just not good enough.

Well, people who are jealous will say about anything to put down the guy whom they are jealous of -- most especially for wan who is a has been!

It takes guts and courage to admit that somebody is better than you, but Greg, no he is just one poor loser.

So Lance had Cancer. He is a Cancer survivor, that's a CHEAT. What so bad about all this is. Armstrong knows he did steroids, yet he lets all his fans, use the sympathy Cancer card. That's despicable. He is a bad guy.

Why can't people believe Lance Armstrong could win without doping? I believe he did it fair and square. Cheating death can make someone very determined and focused. And, Lamont...the threats started in 2001...why hide under a rock that long? It sounds and smells like jealousy. Avant are you jealous too? I've worked with cancer patients...so I personally like to "thank" Lance for his effort and devotion to the cancer researches for a cure.

Good Armstrong beat Cancer. He still a cheat. No jealousy here. If they call steroids cheating then Armstrong is a cheat. Plus a very bad guy.

His doctor in 1996 cleared these false claims. Also, in 1996 if the doctors or nurses put something false on his medical record...they could lose their liscences. Have some respect for the medical professionals. I'm like Lance but wouldn't lose my job for him. I'm sure Greg Lamont and Lance's former friends...will try to write a tell all book full of lies. And, someone like you will buy it.

rules are rules : no drugs in sports mean "no drug in sports", that's the same for everyone, and, oh, there is a very funny question in this page: "Why can't people believe Lance Armstrong could win without doping?"

ah ah ah ah ah.....(because people have a brain)

Of course you have a brain...how well you use is a different story. If all these people are telling the truth about Lance Armstrong...where is the proof? If someone threaten me for years..plus my family...someone would know about it way before now.(besides a devoted wife...who probably says whatever her husband tells her to.) And the doping issue...two ex friends that's the only witnesses they can came up with...no former trainer, doctor...someone more believable...come on give me a break! And, yes if they can PROVE Lance Armstrong was doping I believe he has some awards to give back to France. But, there is NO proof. Maybe, I'm naive but I believe there are sports figures that can achieve great things...Were all the sports heroes from long ago...on steriods??? What about today...everytime my favorites teams win...Am I surpose to think...oh! they're all on steriods!

Not taking a stand either way here...but there isnt much real evidence, and even if it was true...the best anyone can come up with is that 10 YEARS AGO, he MIGHT have admitted to using banned substances IN THE PAST? Uhhhh...how do you account for the last 7 years wins? Mebbe he rides a lot Jan wishes thats all they had on him, right now.

Come out ta Ragbrai, ask da man yerself!

Just believe if a guy put up great numbers in the 90's, then you can put the suspicion of steroids around him.

None of this steroid thing is hard to believe. It's in most guys makeup to find enhancers to help them.

Even Rush Limbaugh was caught with his.

You should get your facts straight before you post. Lance was never accused of steroids. he is being accused of using EPO - a drug that stimulates the production of red blood cells and increases the users hemoglobin and hematocrit levels - this allows the blood to hold more oxygen.

He has passed every test he has ever taken. Lance also paid for every riders drug tests for the last 5 years at the Tour de France. The supposed sample that came up positive is a B or C sample from 1999. EPO was not banned or tested for in 1999 - So even if he did use it, it would not be cheating. Also, most likely he was given EPO during his cancer treatment, so it may have triggered false positives. The governing body of cycling ruled that the testing of that was flawed, and it wasn't even possible to say 100% that that sample was actually Armstrong's.

Dave, you must be one of those who still think O.J didn't kill 2 people. Armstrong did performance enhancers. Stop looking for excuses for the guy. He is a cheat and from what Greg Lemond said, he is a bad guy.

Why would Lance use powerful drugs that are known to CAUSE cancer after what he went through? The allegations against him are just ridiculous. The incredible efficiency of Lance's body is well documented... It's his inner strength that is most amazing to me. He's doing so much to share his strength and support, and yet he is still a target of jealous idiots.

avant,
you stinky, french posuer. proof! demonstrate proof. the accusations of the french only demonstrate the bitterness of a french sporting empire that has entirley declined. how convenient that the urine samples were "all used up",
so no other, independent lab could confirm the results? a dutch commission ruled that the french lab's procedures were not even legal. quel surprise?? the big news is this; cycling is rampant with doping. the spanish have DNA proof with blood samples. what do you have? sad, distracted, french bitterness. get over it. lance earned his place in history and the french are sore losers tirelessy chipping away at the success of their successors.
