Wow, talk about "sour grapes" and California sour grapes at that. Most people would be damn pleased, grateful even, to have an event of this magnitude take place in their town.

It seems to me that Chief Stevens is doing his best to find the negative in a in an undoubtably positive event.

I wonder if he complains at Christmas time too ... you know, like the Grinch.

Good to see Stinson Beach hasen't changed. Perhaps you should go and hustle the East Bay Rats again when they come to town on their bikes for brunch, but then again, it is easier to pick on people in lycra rather than leather.... Get over yourself.

I was in Stinson watching the race and the amazing thing was the entire peleton went through at a slow speed. This happens in large stage races the pack agree to slow down so some riders can take a quick roadside nature break. I thought the entire race went trough orderly; I don't know what the fire chief is talking about; except for his obvious dislike of cyclists. One word 21st century he needs to adapt to it.

I agree with Dan, Fire Chief should stick to model railways.

Don't inflict the fire chief on model railroaders. He is not welcome.

weird story.

1) Inez Storer is an extremely talented artist. She is also a whiner and source of negativity beyond belief. I saw that "little boy" too. She's way wrong. Shocked? yes. Wrong? yes, yes, yes!

2) Did the Tour De CA endanger anybody? Probably...but a lot less than the danger of trying to cross the street in downtown PRS any weekend these days. And cross the street in Stinson??? whew!

the bicyclists were a lot more fun than the tourists that clutter W Marin roads day in and day out.

everyday the streets are filled with motorists going too fast. how are these complaints any different from the other 364 days of the year? get some perspective and learn to have a good time. this is a great opportunity for the town!
