Seems like Lance, ever the politician, will take his secret with him to his grave.
That is unless some additional authoritive sources are forced to turn "state's evidence" and show the films they must surely have taken for their own protection.
I appreciate and commend Lance for all the good he has done raising money for Cancer research and building interest in cycling.
But in this whacky world we try to teach our kids to do the right thing, to play fair and to tell the unadulterated truth. And they look for heroes and role models. He just made it harder for all of us, as it appears cheaters do prosper indeed.
It may be time for the Livestrong Foundation, a very good cause that has done nothing but good, to ditch the yellow wristbands, distance themselves from Lance and find a new spokesperson so they don't become a victim of the fallout from the founder's improprieties.
People who are disappointed in Lance have got to go see the LanceLied (dot com) site for a funny slap on the wrist.

Cure for cancer research is good. Giving yourself cancer no good. Did anyone stop and think with all the crap Lance has probably done wether it be steroids or growth hormone might have created the cancer he capitalized on. It's an ironic twist of fate.
The only people I know with testicular cancer were/are gym rats. Get my drift. Performance Enhancing Drugs were already rampant in sports BY the 1990s. A younger person/athlete might suffer more consequences because their bodies are still developing, growing and filled with faster growing cells along with a slightly higher hormone level. Throw in peds and minor slow progressing cancers are all the sudden 'olympic' diseases.
How you play the game does matter.

Interesting that you are claiming that testicular cancer is the normal cancer coming from sports doping.
Care to provide your source(s) that shows that imperical research information!

I don't have any studies to cite yet. Not necessarilly claiming it causes cancer but I definately believe it can speed up cancers that might have taken years to develope.
The use of performance enhancing drugs or PEDs is basically all about sped up recovery. That's why many are able to gain muscle mass faster and why many never seem to run out of gas. It's not so much about adding muscle to the body as it is helping the body recover by repairing cells/muscle faster decreasing rest time and thus increasing the amount of workouts or physical work you can do(on your sport).
Let's say you have cancer cells in their infancy. But with PEDs in your system which help repair existing cells wouldn't they also help speed up or even trigger the growth of cancer cells? 60 Minutes(yeh I know) did a thing on growth hormones(gh) in which a doctor said gh and multiplying cells ie something like cancer might not be a good combination. At the sametime your are giving normal cells a boost you also might be boosting cancer cells.
But the only people I personally know of that have/had testicular cancer were/are gym rats or involved in sports. Also by coincidence have gotten it by their late 20s/early 30s just like Lance.

You provide an interesting theory and by itself, it is very interesting. Yet, as much as cancer(s) have been atributted to steroid use, I don't remember ever reading anything pointing to any particular cancer on it's own, much less testicular cancer.
As for the speed or time sequence of any cancer spreading or growing inside an individual, each varies differently, yet some what similar with each case.
Let's not forget that US figure skater Scott Hamilton also contracted testicular cancer as well and I rather doubt that he had ever used illegal drugs.
In everything that I have read on this topic, I have not seen anything that stated anything in reference to illegal sports drugs speeding cancer(s). So, I would be hesitant in making statements without any imperical literature to support them.
On another note:
In today's newpaper, it was announced that the feds are going to review the video footage from the restraunt cameras where Tyler Hamilton and Lance Armstrong accidently ran into one another this weekend.
Tyler Hamilton immediately went and reported to his lawyers, who reported to the authorities about the incident. Sad case of affairs considering they were once friends.

Ironic coincidence that Scott Hamilton is another Olympic caliber athlete who fell upon testicular cancer.
In this day and age I have little faith that most higher athletic achievement is done without the aide of peds or cheating. I'd say any major achievement since the 70s could be questioned.
With Scott Hamilton I'd say there is much less chance that he used peds though. Although both figure skating and bicycling have alot of competition in Europe. Everybody complains about American athletes but starting with the communist block countries in the 60s the Europeans have been known to have been using peds regularly-it's seems anyway alot of trends comeout of Europe. I have to admit I wouldn't put it past many coaches & staff to slip their athletes something just like they would play politics behind their back.
I saw where the feds wanted to investigate Hamilton's and Armstrong's " conversation " but since the restaurant didn't want Hamilton back I doubt they would turnover any incriminating footage/evidence protecting their favorite customer.
