The Floyd Landis debate

Full story: Stuff

Floyd Landis has ridden the past two Tours of Southland. He's been personable, reasonably approachable and this year actually rode pretty well.

I feel not sorrow for Floyd... I feel empty...

I hope he lives long... and finds happiness in his heart, again.

I'd actually rather avoid talking about him (so why did I start this TPX?)...

Therein the problem!

Tyler Hamilton lost his wife through divorce.

Floyd Landis lost his wife through divorce.

Lance Amrstrong lost his wife through divorce.

Think they have something in common?

I'm not the one with the memory problems Pieter.

Too bad that the DailyPeleton forum is down. You might find the reading their interesting. Our old cycling buddy from Scotland has been involved there as well.

Cheers

Which cycling buddy from Scotland are you talking about, Harry? I don't visit the DailyPeleton at all.

Ally, if my memory has it correct. He was with us here for a long time, then disappeared. I found him later over at the DailyPeleton forum defending Floyd Landis.

I'm wondering what his reaction was after Floyd Landis admitted his guilt.

Cheers

Sure wish that the DailyPeloton opens back up and soon.

There are a few other people who read that forum and are now reading this one for humor!

Cheers All

A Landis psych eval would make for interesting reading.

Wang,

I'd evaluate his 'entourage' and the attorneys they filtered for him...

Where's the real ego, when an Athlete trusts those around him (who are supporting his ego, his 'health' and his winning effort), and trusts those who say

"For a million bucks or so, I can 'get you off the charges!'"

We must remember, however (if we can believe him?) that Floyd was originally offered a 'one-month suspension' if he'd 'turn against' Lance...

Now, more than four years later (which was 3.5 or so when the Spring 2010 confession(s) occurred), what has Floyd gained?

Peace of mind?
I doubt it...

Credibility?
Not at all...

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Gemini

A little give and take goes a long way, so try to be flexible and malleable when dealing with others. It will also pay to ask people what they think rather than to make sweeping assumptions on their behalf, because you could be in for a surprise. A child may have some interesting information for you, or they could make a statement that really sets you thinking.
