You may want to correct the title of your article. Fabian Cancellara is from Switzerland rather than Sweden. He is Swiss, not Swedish. This is a common, yet somewhat embarrassing mistake.

Yup, Cancellara is definitely from Switzerland and is a Swiss cyclist. Shame that reporters don't get it right in the first place. Seems they don't take the time in paying attention to detail, or not taking the time to ensure their information is correct.

Cheers All

But text was correct, so who wrote the headline? Web-editor? Paper-editor?

It's like marking any European map, with Czech Rep, as Afghanistan, and watch how half of US citizens would say 'Bomb them!'

Americans are not asking or saying to bomb Afghanistan or any other country. So, I strongly suggest that you get off this kick.

MOEP, I've seen a CNN newsflash where the news were about Switzerland and the map had Switzerland written over the Poland map. I know it happens, but we have the idea that north-americans usually know their villages better within any US state than other countries locations around the planet.

Switzerland... Sweden... ehehehe...

Hyug and ZENmud, many Americans don't even know where all the 50 states sit in relation to one another.

My wife and I have met people who have no clue where Boston is physically located! Let's not even get started about foreign countries' locations.

Man, CNN reporting Switzerland over a map of Poland, how crazy and stupid is that!

Cheers Guys
