Have you ever heard of the Proclaimers ? http://www.proclaimers.co.uk/
I think you discovered geeies true identity! am not sure which of the twins he is, Charlie or Craig. But he sure lives up to the film Dumb and Dumber, in which he recorded the song "Get Ready"

Thanks pal!

I wonder if he identifies more with Jeff Daniels, especially with the scene where he's having his diarrhea attack while sitting on a toilet he didn't know it did not flush, thinking all along that he was going to "score" with Lauren Holly.

@turtle & CD you guys just can’t seem to keep away from me and I am flattered.

The Proclaimers is probably a good reflection for you to use in the name…. as that is what I do for you two guys… so very well done there. Also they are one of the most popular bands around so again thanks.

What about the facts that ‘you would walk 500 miles just to see me smile’ which I think is great especially when I think you both haver a load of mince. Thanks anyway.

Dumb and Dumber.....takes 2 and I am just 1.....I see now it is an inverse comment so you guys are actually Dumb and Dumber as you think you are a double act now. Nice.

Very clever and very cute guys. I shall however refrain from calling you names out of politeness and I shall just think about the fact that you are just Havering for me.

NCAdMan thanks for the post.
People who want to vilify LA and say he was the only doper in the pack don’t understand how Cycling works.
Let’s assume for a moment he was the only one and his USPS was alone then the closed nit community of cycling in Europe would dispose of them quickly.
Why then would they allow 1 man and his team to win 7 x TDF without throwing a spanner in that works. Europeans don’t like others wining their races so why let it happen.
Simple it was a level playing field and he was seen as the winner in the same way Merckx was in his day.
USADA are only telling US folks what we already knew for years and when it all quietens down they shall see Tygart as a media frenzied obsessed man.
Maybe if a programme was aired in US to chart the history of doping in Cycling they may be better informed to see the sport as it is and stop making LA out to be the villain. That however doesn’t make good news or suit USADA cause to support sales in TH book!
Why let the truth get in the way of a good story.
If they also took time to look at Greg Lemond who won 89 TDF after noticing he needed Iron Injections!!!! He won against a whole Peloton doping on EPO in 89 and he was clean, not for me I am afraid. Maybe 1 icon at a time is acceptable in US?
Geeman, you really need to get your facts straight about things. The first Epo product, Epogen, was not approved by the FDA for public use until mid - end 1989, so after Lemond one his TDF and n the whole peloton weren't doped up on EPO in 1989 because it wasn't available. Sort it out mate, your comments carry zero weight with inconsistencies like this.

@ statcat your comments are your opinion.
This is what Article 17 says, EXACTLY.
ARTICLE 17: STATUTE OF LIMITATIONS
No action may be commenced against an Athlete or other Person for an anti-doping rule violation contained in the Code unless such action is commenced within eight (8) years from
The date the violation is asserted to have occurred.
This is the link for the whole WADC Rules.
http://www.wada-ama.org/rtecontent/document/c...
If you review the code and its application you shall see that +8 years has been based on arguments for extension and not application of the rules. USADA clearly stated their desire to make +8 years is based on US Law and not WADC Rules please check that out before making assumptions!
Regarding if LA doped or not all on here who have followed the threads and contributed know my views from the beginning and my issue has never been that guilt but the process WADA wish to apply against Athletes and ignoring their own rules and regulations to suit themselves.
On covering up of positive tests you are clearly not aware of the 2009 and 2005 events that lead to Vrijam report. You also wish to accept what someone says in their pursuit to sell a book that has lied on 3 separate occasions and perjured himself at least 2 times. There are always reasons to accept as well as decline to accept someone’s comments, reliability is one I addition to self benefit making a book sell. TH knew what was happening with USADA and what is to stop him feeling it is all going to fall apart anyway so I will add a bit in that looks OK?
Was he telling the truth or not? You and I shall never know unless UCI or LA says so.
turtle you make some good points about Michael Ashenden and his expertise however if the most effective route to catching a doping athlete is after they retire, testimony of other riders who did not get caught as well to afford credibility of charges is not very good or effective way. Add to this an amnesty for all athletes basically running up the white flag and saying we can’t catch you but please admit to it and we start all over again. This also means the +8 years approach is redundant as we have a new zero years starting point and no lifetime bans or +2 years will exists.
All the DR's involved also can say I did it and start again and they shall have more to gain as they earn more than the riders.
WADA as much as UCI and Cycling are at a crossroads and having someone like Ashenden looking in from the outside is not good, he should be in the middle dictating the way forward.
Geeman, do you make this stuff up? When did TH commit perjury on two occasions. I think it is pretty well documented that he was subpoena to appear during the govt enquiry and i believe by usada, those were his two occasions and I think there is enough corroborative evidence to show that he didnt lie?
Also just because he has lied doesn't make him an unreliable witness if his testimony can be corroborated, which it has, so he is a credible witness. Michael Ashenden showed scientifically that the tests carried out in 2005 were valid and in line with correct proceedures, so he was busted and while he didn't get caught with a positive test for PED in 2009 his hematacrit and levels if new V old blood cells were totally indicative of blood doping, reinfusing his own blood. Its not physiologically possible to have the ratio he had so again busted. The guy doesn't know how to ride clean and those who want to ride clean, he attacks, probably because as many close to him have said, he has a massive chip on his shoulder plus huge ego that needs fuelling by winning and so he takes no chance that he may not win and doped from day one.

Flatter yourself all you want. It's the only way you'll get any flattery.

BTW, the Proclaimers can kiss my a$$ for all I care. The last Brit musician I enjoyed listening to was John Lennon. I have lost nothing in the UK, much less in Scotland. I have been to London a few times, but always because I was connecting at Heathrow to, or from, somewhere else in Europe, and most definitely not Scotland.

It must really suck to have only Topix and your local pub as your forms of entertainment.

Sorry, are we living in the same century?
you consider the proclaimers to be popular ?
I should know from your language but christ almighty, you think that is music !!!
I am no one to think that people should share my views and tastes of what pleasures we are lucky to have in life. But for f... sake geeie the proclaimers take the biscuit!!
You are giving a little to much away about yourself with such comments.
Check out Derren Brown: Apocalypse Part One
http://www.channel4.com/programmes/derren-bro...
The best use of tv in ages !!! When we talk about reality tv this is what we want, not people "performing" on big brother type shows. It seems only this guy + the japanese have it sussed when it comes to being truly inventive and interesting when it comes to tv. I watch very little tv, so its gotta be good to even get me interested, but i after take my hat off to derren brown here. Making one guy think the world is going through an apocalypse(should really be "the" apocalypse if you have faith i suppose, which is where being an atheist really pays off) or he is . A truly breathless and stunning real life tv with a good cause to boot. They are actually trying to make the guy a better person !!! by putting him through the end of the world, crazy buy genius, i love it. If you're in the states and do not know this guy, please have a look. Its genius tv, the show he did before - he convinced another decent guy who could do a bit more for himself. That he is on a 747, the pilots died and he is being asked to land the plane!!!! because no one else will. In a full size plane simulator, with everything looking real as day , just at night time. He nearly gave the poor guy a heart attack , but he landed the 747.
anyway check out the apocalypse it is staggering!!, oh and the reason i mention on a cycling forum about la. Well the whole making the guy a better person, la then you geeie could have really done with some of derren browns magic.
