Of course these GC idiots are ready - they have been ready for 38 years, or is that 62 years.

This article goes like this...

GCs - you give us Varosha

TCs - what do we get in return?

GCs - our goodwill

TCs - is that it?

GCs - that is worth a lot

TCs - explain how so

GCs - we will ensure that Turkey can talk to the EU on the closed accession chapters

TCs - is that it?

GCs - that is of great value to Turkey

TCs - how?

GCs - Turkey might then be able to join the EU

TCs - But we see that most of the EU does not want Turkey and is not the EU in trouble anyway?

GCs - yes but its EU application will not be held up by us, if you give us Varosha, Turks leave Cyprus and we go back to the 1974 position.

TCs - so lets be clear. We give everything back, starting with Varosha, Turks leave Cyprus and you will not object to our EU bid?

GCs - yes, thats a great offer

TCs - but are you Greeks not in crisis and will you soon require a bailout?

GCs - but we are in the EU, you are not.

TCs - but our economy grew by 7% last year and we have 100% control and security

GCs - but you are not in the EU

TCs - thanks, but no thanks

I have written it that way to allow the dumbo greeks to see how stuoid their "offer" is and to enable others to see how Greeks play these games.

They did the same in 2004 over EU accession.

The EU does not want Turkey - EVERY EU country has made that clear.

So Greeks would never have to exercise a veto.

Put that to one side - the EU is fccuked and Turkey is growing into new markets, so Turks are not stupid - why would they want the EU now.

This article is yet more evidence of Greek arrogance and stupidity.

The point really is that the Greeks believe their own bullshite.

Every conversation with them is a con trick, but that worked until the world found out how dodgy they really are.

They have the bullshite, but no street credibility anymore.

what’s spot on? your racist hatred towards Greeks. You seem to be way to obsessed with us Greeks. Maybe you should worry about what you Brits have done in past. How many countries have you colonized through murder? Tell us all what you Brits and Turks have done in the past? Stop obsessing over what GCs and Greeks do. why does an old man like you care so much about us Greeks?

So why now Mr Christofides is making proposal and begging to talk to Mr Eroglu, it's all Bull/sh*t delaying tactics
This is a Greek tactic trying to keep the talks open, they know full well the talks is coming to a full stop and that is why now they want to talk,
Marash (verosha) is Turkish Cypriot town and like we said 3 months ago those who have property in the ghost town are welcome to claim them but on conditions they build or renovate those claimed sites and accept that they are in Cyprus Turkish Republic.

Opening new chapters for Turkeys EU accession negotiations is a lot of bull, we fallen for that in 2004 and learnt a lesson.

I'm not so sure they actually "believe" it as much as they "want" to believe it. It's more like when the theory that the world might not be flat and all the map-makers of the time chose not to believe ..... or when Darwin's theories first came out and the priests didn't even want to hear about it.

The Greeks don't understand anything about Cyprus, Turkey, Albania, Bulgaria, or Macedonia - but rather than finding out they'd rather just huddle together to chant ..... and hope everything goes away.

Yes, it looks like that.

It's like Blackadder said, Greece is prepared to make no consessions at all.

Hello Annie,
38 years has gone by and they would not comprimise on Marash,
now their taking over the EU presidency for few weeks they want to use it as a tool to blackmail Turkey in to submitting to their demands, yeah right.

and what about the GCs? You are great at delegating responsibility and pretend the TCs are your subordinates and should follow instructions. After 39 years, you fools still feel that TCs should make amends and return to prior to 74? Do you think that TCs or anybody else for that matter, enjoy being abused and discriminated against? Are you getting the impression they missed you and are desperate to be with you?

As the guilty party, you apologize, tell us what amends you are willing to make, how high the penalties imposed on you and what is your collateral to make sure you don't repeat the crimes of the past. The ball is in your court so, please stop telling TCs of what they should do to please you.

I don't think they are getting the message. The 39 years division was not enough punishment because it was not harsh enough. The division just gave them an excuse to practice what they are best at which is whining. To get them to focus on their true selves, to get them to admit wrongdoing, TCs should increase the army yearly. The GCs don't really give a damn about Cyprus and think that with time, they will collect their homes back with interest. The longer it takes, the richer they feel. Here is a chance for Turkey to change TC minority to a majority. When they are able to distinguish between pure Greeks and GCs, they will figure out who the pure TCs are
