British Empire destroyed because of nationalism and because not was democratic.

The humans of the British colonies not was equal citizens. For this reason all was against British Empire.

British Empire sould to become democratic, but not made this. Continued the nationalism, and used violence. This made the humans more against British Empire.

Cyprus, made the same mistake. Cyprus not made fight for democracy, but made national fight.

For this reason "lost" the muslim minority.

For same reason India lost Pakistan.

So, if one country want be strong, need to abolish the nationalism, and need democracy-freedom-human rights.

It is a pity that the Foreign Office Files released do not mention details of the tortures used and the ones that applied it. If they did people would be able to realise that this "excessive violence" was mostly applied to the Greek Cypriots by the Turkish Cypriot force that the British created to help them. The same force that for four years with their actions created the big hate that exploaded some years later and brought what followed with the Turkish invasion etc. It was all planned to the minutest detail.
