Hey, let them in, they will fit in working out of their car trunks or homes. We've had them before, doctors, dentists. Maybe we'll have more hit and runs in Miami. We're headed to the mountain country homes of Georgia where Cuban people statues are in from of redneck homes, it's safer. Wake up Florida, stop the migartion or better yet give them a ticken to Bagdad, they can use doctors!

"Last summer, the administration announced that any Cuban medical professional sent abroad was eligible for political asylum."

I don't understand the administration's motivation for this policy. I don't have anything against the Cubans. I believe the demand for health care providers will increase as the baby boomers are getting older. However, in the US it is not easy to pass the medical, dental and nursing board exams. Many practicing doctors and dentists from other countries wind up doing non-medical work here due to this.

medicine is the foreign policy of Cuba like free eye surgery for thousands of poor South Americans or the first time poor people in the barrios have ever seen a doctor. This is outrageous! Perhaps their foreign policy should be selling weapons to the poor countries of South America. When will this asinine policy of the US government end? When this country has a leader with real conones.

Well, there is a reason they have problems passing the state board exams, they do not have the required education that would make it possible for them to pass...so, they do not pass...we cannot allow them the "easy test" just to let them practice medicine in America...the practice of medicine is a very serious thing, and it requires that you are educated for it...we have too many cases now of improper medical care resulting in injury and death, and that is from the ones we have trained here!! We do not need more Doctors and nurses from places like Cuba, with substandard training , causing even MORE deaths and injury....the system is there, for our protection....it is best left the way it is...if they cannot come here and complete the required extra education needed to take the state boards, then they should go elsewhere!

MR CARE BEAR HAS NO LOGICAL COMMENT TO MAKE THUS THIS NONSENSE OF HIS. WHY DO YOU NOT COMMENT ON THE FACTS OF THE CASE? AS "CRIME" SAYS THEY HAVE TO PASS BOARD EXAMS AND TO DO THIS THEY REQUIRE TRAINING IN THE USA AS DO ALL DOCTORS WHO PASS MEDICAL SCHOOL IN THE USA. THIS REQUIRES ROTATIONS IN HOSPITALS WITH VARIOUS SPECIFIC TRAINING AND INTERNSHIPS IN THE USA.THE US GOVERNMENT HAS FOOLED THEM INTO BELIEVING THAT THEY WOULD BE WELCOME(BUT AS REFUGEES AND NOT DOCTORS) IN THE USA! AND MR CARE BEAR STOP YOUR NONSENSE!!!

I love Cubans, most are wonderful honest people. However, if they want to live in the USA they should be required to serve in our military for 4 years to prove that they want to be here. Personally, I think EVERY American should serve in the military. If you want to live here, you should be willing to fight for the freedoms we have.

OF COURSE THE CUBAN DENTISTAS HAVE FOUND A WAY AROUND THE LAWS, by equipping campers with dentist chairs and conducting business a la mobile.

I knew it wouldn't take long for our friend to the north to say something ignorant !!

Bob is right... every American should be required to serve a year or two in the military. Don't know if Mr. Cunuck has every served but he should have so he could defend the freedom that he enjoys today... which is to post stupid comments on which he knows nothing about.
