Yeah, they'll probably would. That's what I meant when I stated that they were ALBA members. Considering how much USA has invested in that canal (a lot of money and at least two wars)it was really dumb on North Korea's part to assume USA didn't keep tabs on what goes across the canal, they probably didn't even knew it was transporting weapons, I won't be surprised if it turns out the Panamanians just saw the North Korean flag and were asked to inspect it using any excuse they could think of.

If the ALBA is really going interesting in trading with all those potential allies in Asia/Eurasia they are going to need their own canal. Simple as that.

You are underestimating the Panama authorities. That ship was detaining two times before in Europe and in Russia, first it was detained carrying drugs and the second time carrying weapons.
As I can see you prefer a new canal controlled by such a gangster and pedophile as Daniel Ortega than one controlled by the Panama authorities,.boy you sure don't know what you are wishing.

This is the history of the ship chong chong gang before it was detained by Panamian Authorities

Detentions

On 26 February 2003, Iran detained the ship at Bandar Imam Khomeini.[5]

In February 2010, Ukrainian authorities detained the ship at Oktyabrsk. The ship was carrying heroin substitute, alcohol, cigarettes, and AK-47 ammunition.[7]

In March 2010, Egypt cited that the ship was carrying "dangerous goods".

On July 15, 2013,[8]the ship was seized by authorities in Panama at Manzanillo International Terminal on a report that it was transporting illegal drugs. Reportedly, when Panamanian troops approached the vessel the crew responded violently and the captain later attempted to kill himself.[9] A reportedmissile was found buried in a cargo of 250,000 bags of brown sugar resulting in the vessel's seizure. The vessel was reportedly on its way from Cuba to North Korea. As of 16 July, only two of the several cargo compartments had been inspected. North Korea has yet to comment, while Cuba stated that the "obsolete weapons" on the ship were going to North Korea for repair. These weapons included two anti-aircraft missile batteries, nine air defense missiles in parts, two MiG-21 fighter planes and 15 engines for them.[8][10] All of these weapons were built by the Soviet Union in the mid 20th century.[11]

Ah, you are right. That do make sense.

On the other hand, I don't see why you try to take some "moral higher ground" when you have constantly made homophobic, islamophobic, and racist statements. Neither side looks morally "good" to me.
I believe a canal in Nicaragua would be good for their economy specially since they are the second poorest country in the Americas, and a non US-aligned canal could be useful for countries that have poor relations with USA since right now they could just close the Panama canal and have the British patrol the strait of Magellan, and that would be all they need to isolate the Pacific from the Atlantic.

Your opinion about my moral standards or about if I'm or not a racist is not relevant with this thread but I must say that a brown or black skined person who disllikes whites is as much a racist as a white skinned person who dislikes blacks or brown skinned person.
No, I don't think is a good idea for a new canal to be controlled by Daniel Ortega. In my opinion all canals on this world should be controlled or co-controlled by World prestigious organizations such as the UN

Spot on, my friend. I'm glad that there is at least one person who knows to what depths the USA will stoop, to destabilize or badmouth, any of their (so-called, Socialist Enemy Countries).
Their own citizens have NO IDEA, of what nefarious situations, the US Government is involved in, around the world.

In my opinion 'the spot' is the opening on his nose were the nostrils used to be which evolved into just one opening (spot) after years of asss sniffings

I must have issued a statement that rang of the truth. Old Multi-Names, has been kept very busy writing the posts above, under a half-dozen different avatars, AND ANSWERING THEM HIMSELF TOO!

I guess his boss, the CIA, has got on his case.

When I write posts, I usually do a lot of research first, and what I generally find out, is not what the American Government wants its citizens to hear about or understand.

THAT'S WHERE MULTI-NAMES, comes in, to TRY and belittle the truth that I have disseminated.

The American Government is the largest SPONSOR OF TERRORISM, on the planet!
