US releases more classified Bay of Pigs documents - AP

The U.S. has released more classified documents about the 1961 Bay of Pigs invasion of Cuba, showing the close involvement of the Guatemalan government.

This whole thing was such an elaborate mess that it was going to fail.
The FEW older Cubans I respect are the Bay of pigs bunch because they took action .
They are not even a drop in an ocean compared to the calle ocho bunch.

The Bay of pigs men did not spend decades chanting "Cuba libre" while self serving Miami Cuban politicians fleeced them.

The north was willing to fight forever and the south was a corrupt and mostly apathetic military .

We would have had to be there to this day in order to prevent the north from invading and they were also kicking our butt.
