No wonder they had to lay off half the staff. Wythe county is partially to blame. Allowing all the rescues to be independent of one another makes for an oversight nightmare. I hope this doesn't cause any citizens to do without rescue.

Misappropriation of funds, or downright theft, seems to be a constant theme in rescue squads and fire departments.
It must be due to the type of people that are attracted to join these organizations.

How about misappropriation of funds by Learn Today Lead Tomorrow's "charity/ non-profit" after school program? Why aren't police also investigating this along with their drug charges? Kim & Greg Ring of Southwest Martial Arts reported over $150,000 income last year for LTLT from community donations, fund raising functions, and student tuition. They operated under the false pretense of using this money to fund after school care, when in fact they were using it to buy narcotics.

How do you know there is a link? You have some kind of proof; do tell. Go to the police.

How do you know what the police are investigating and what they're not?
