Government lends hand ... to your purse
When the going gets tough, the government goes for your pocketbook. It happened three times last week to beleaguered Fitchburg residents still recovering from the worst economy since the Great Depression.

The tax payers would head for the exit but the mayor has done such a bang up job of destroying the home values with her open arm imigration policy that they are stuck here. Nice job, we are now up there with Lowell.

If you want change then vote for Lynch. Water and sewer rates have already increased. Trash collection should be covered through the recycling pickup as well as the fees that Waste Management pays to the city.
Fitchburg and Leominster have more hazardous waste sites combined than the rest of the state. I have heard that NY brings some of there trash to the transfer stations here.
Our land, air and water are poluted by these dumps and they want to charge more?
In reference to all the pot holes. I noticed that something had changed concerning snow removal this year. There was a lot of snow left on all of Fitchburg roads which allowed a melt then feeze and so on. This type of frost heaving creats pot holes.
We should have volunteer days to assist in filling these pot holes. I am willing as I am sure that many more residents would volunteer there time.
It is due time that our Mayor stands up for all of Fitchburg citizens.
Fitchburg has seen the highest unemployment rates in the state as well as many underemployed citizens.
