You Atheists can't blame this one on Christians. This one falls into the category of witchcraft and paganism. The domain of Christian haters.

Don't feel bad. I have a friend who jumped off a building trying to commit suicide and and landed on his head. suffered massive brain trauma.
He's not quite all there either, but is a nice guy. Not the most level headed person I know.
Go figure?

Satan is pretend.

Religion is not. Some religions think Satan is real.

Take two - let's try this again without my cussing:

This is one sick son of a gun. What kind of a heartless grotesque buzzard beak son of a cataclysmic Nazi urangatang is this guy who did this to the two girls? Religion did this? I don't think so. More like a cruel unfeeling heart. What the heck was going through this creeps head or heart while he was doing this?
Satan?- he was pretty ripe for it. His cruel mind worked right along with the demon. Doesn't that make him the same as a demon?
"By their fruits you shall know them" works for both ends of the spectrum.

To believe in Satan, you must believe in God.

It would be nice to know the fuller context of that statement. But as far as religion or non-religion is concerned, it would be nice to recognize a good deed from a religious or non-religious person...as well as bad. And regardless of anything, this guy who did this is devilish. You can take that as a metaphor if you like. If it was the pope who did this, it would still be evil. Wait a minute! Several popes DID do stuff like this!

"Hitchens is often characterized as a well-informed and witty polemicist. His idiosyncratic ideas and positions are often characterized as rants by his detractors. He was formerly a Trotskyist and a fixture in the left wing publications of Britain and America, but be made a noisy departure from the Anglo-American political left. A series of disagreements beginning in the early 1990s led to his resignation from The Nation shortly after the September 11, 2001 attacks. He became a United States citizen on his fifty-eighth birthday, April 13, 2007. Although born of a Jewish mother, he identifies himself as a Protestant atheist and has characterized Islam as nihilistic. He supports George Bush's war on terrorism. He described atheism as not just a healthy belief system but a moral necessity in order to avoid the excesses due to religion."

...you may as well have quoted Marx. The bias is the same.

The far majority - 90% or more?- of the evil acts in America have nothing to do with religion...and I'd bet the far majority of those evil-doers are left of center in their political views.

Plenty? Then name 100 of them for me. That should be a real easy request.

Communism tortured and murdered 150 million over the last century. Tortures like:

- A red hot poker up the rear end.
- Crush a man's testicles under a jack boot.
- Put you in a box and turn up the heat until you sweat blood.

Or do you accept communism as a secular religion?

No one ever claimed that Stalin or Chairman Mao was a "good man".

Neither were the most infamous Christians like Hitler and the Borgia family.

The jist of this article is about human sacrifice - which takes a central role in Christianity - from Abraham and burnt offerings to the sacrifice and cannibalization of Jesus, King of the Jews.

I suggest that each of you use the 'feedback' page to complain about the user magicdana from Beijing, China.

This poster is going on threads that involve murder victims and posting that website.
I have not been to the site and I suggest you don't either.

My personal observation is that any righteous or noble cause will find itself the target of people who desire to turn it to evil purpose. Mostly they fail, but their occasional success is justification for any thinking person to question the motives of anyone selling righteousness or nobility.

That being said: you can go wrong as easily by being too skeptical as you can be being too gullible.

Nobody ever claimed all who believe in a higher power were "good" either, but that doesn't stop you from claiming religion is a major source of evil.
Buzz Flederjon wrote:

Hitler was not a Christian. He persecuted them.

Hitler was into the occult beliefs of Madame Balvatsky and her Fabian Socialist assistant, Annie Besant.

Nazism was based on the belief in a mythical "Aryan race" that was supposed to be superior to all others.

I am not up on the Borgia family but, judging by your past posts, your statement about them is probably erroneous, too.

That's right, and you are the one who chose to make it an attack on religion.

Even now you close with more distortion and lies. Your dishonesty and ignorance is so obvious, I won't even waste words on these remarks.
