U.S. Senator Larry Craig has been lynched by the media. For months all the “evidence” published by the Idaho Statesmen Newspaper been obtained from anonymous gay blogs. As for the fiasco at the Minneapolis Airport, listen carefully to the police interrogation (http://www.youtube.com/watch... ). Listen especially to the arresting sergeant, to what he says, and to the tone of his voice. He was clearly under tremendous pressure from somewhere to make this arrest stick. Listen to his assurances to Senator Craig. None of them were honored. Listen to his threats. None of them were legal.

U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 6: They shall in all Cases, except Treason, Felony and Breach of the Peace, be privileged from Arrest during their Attendance at the Session of their respective Houses, and in going to and returning from the same; and for any Speech or Debate in either House, they shall not be questioned in any other Place.

This section of our Constitution was designed specifically to preclude what we are seeing unfold right in our faces, the ambushing of Idaho’s Senior Senator by another state and the carving up of his legislative seniority amongst the co-conspirators, as his riddled body cools in the trunk. This Congress is an outlaw with the full support of the national syndicated media and the gay community. Police records show Senator Craig was singled out for particularly harsh treatment by the airport police in order to show “Breach of Peace”. I find it particularly striking that the media neither mentions nor discusses Section 6, Article 1 of the U.S. Constitution. Perhaps “freedom of the press” is the only Constitutional provision that remains in tacked, along with the rule of “Political Correctness, of course. Life shattering convictions use to depend on the strength of finger prints and real physical evidence. Now it just takes a subjective evaluation of subtle hand and foot movements. How did we get here? The more hard facts that are released without the media spin make this case appear less and less like political suicide, and more and more like a political execution, planned and implemented by the Idaho Statesman gay-media alliance. If this doesn’t constitute a hate crime, I don’t know what does. It is a grave human injustice, and we are all guilty of failing to act to prevent this lynching of an innocent man. Senator Craig needs to be re-instated immediately and a Federal Grand Jury Investigation of this hate crime launched before the real evidence and key players vanish. Watergate pales in comparison to this Constitutional crisis. This is not about compassion, pity or forgiveness. This is about justice.

How about Connecticut, the Constitution State? I don’t think so. We haven’t heard a peep from those gutless wonders.

And then there is the issue of “Cut and Run Republicans” that abandoned Senator Craig with the first doctored video shown on Jay Leno. Forget the facts, or due process for that matter. How would you like the Senior Republican Leadership, most notably Mitt Romney, Senators McCain, Coleman, McConnell, and Ensign to cover your back in Iraq? Their cowardice places us all at risk. If anyone needs to throw in the towel, they do. Loyalty is a two way street. With colleagues like these, who needs enemies?“Et tu, Brute?”
