An 18-year-old Whitley County Detention Center inmate died early Friday morning, but no foul play is suspected, according to Whitley County Coroner Andy Croley.

This lawsuit ended in a payment. Good Lord how many people have sued the county over stuff at the jail?! It's like car insurance... you have a wreck tahts your fault and your rate goes up. People die left and right at the jail and the whole county has to pay because the insurance rate goes up!!! Why did this settlement happen in December but wasnt in the papers until the end of April?????

Blame the dealer and user. Anyone that does drugs knows death is a possibility each time they get high. That was his choice unless you are trying to say police or jail staff forced drugs down him. Who has to pay for all that medical care every time someone starts withdrawing? If you drive drunk you may get charged with murder or kill yourself in an accident. You still made the choice to take the first drink.

This stuff happens everywhere not just Whitley County. Maybe this is why the jail won't accept overly drunken people. Maybe that's why they don't want to accept people they know are high on drugs.
