Dalton Father Charged In Girl's Death

A northwest Georgia man faces a murder charge in the death of his 1-month-old daughter.

I have so much sympathy for this child and her family. What kind of father does that to there child? I am miffed at what has happened to this 5 week old child.

Let me say that I do not know this family but things that I have read and heard he did to this child makes me so sick. I held a baby last night and for the life of me could not think of even hurting this child. The baby was so precious and sweet and words can not describle how I felt.

Please remember Piper's older sister and other family memebers because the sister not only lost her sister but now her father because of the choices he made.

I do apologize for the false statement when I read the obituary I just assumed. I am sorry for the confusion.

I do pray that older sister and hope that as she gets older she can find a way to deal with her pain as well. There are some agencies to help with counseling for your child if needed for one is the Family Support Council a lady named Mary Smith can help she has helped in the past for people I know with children.

That's ok. I could understand the confusion. We are going to contact the agency. we have already been given the numbers. Thank you again for the concern. As bad and brutal as this was, it was completely unexpected.

I think that the sorry SOB needs to be beat to death like he did to that innocent little baby. I have no sympathy for a monster like him. I am thankful that the other child wasn't at home or it may have suffered the same fate. Praise God that she wasn't there too. My heart and prayers go out to the family.

There is nothing bad enough that I can think of that should be done to this guy and anyone else that was involved! Maybe slowly beat him then burn him, but that doesn't even fit what he done to the innocent baby. I have a child and I don't believe in spanking a child, I can't even begin to think of harming a child! Children are blessings and innocent little things! They all deserve nothing but love! This guy will surely burn in hell, but until then I hope he is in torment and never released from jail or prison! Bless the childs family..
