"I just hope they don't get us all distracted on that global warming thing, because we've got some serious concerns about the coal export terminal." This comment was offered by someone I had not met before, as we walked out of a workshop that was focused on the proposed Gateway Pacific coal export terminal here in Whatcom County, Washington.

Yeah, clean coal trains run along the Puget Sound. That'll clean up all the industrial waste.

Some Puget Sound cliffs are so steep & 'iffy' that the railroad lines have been closed for multiple landslides, in succeeding days! Yeah, there'll be some of that clean coal ending up in the Puget Sound when one of the cliffs carries the coal train into the water.
