You'd think the eco-head liberals would be all over this one. Trains are energy efficient and the best way currently known to move goods long distances.
There are always risks tied to progress. If the risks exceed the benefits, the issue should go before the courts. If the courts make an unfavorable decision, there's the option of Appeal. If the finding agrees with the lower court, that's it!
Looks like the battle's already over so let the whiners whine and progress pro-gress!

Six billion? P/E of 10, ROI desired is usually 17%, do we use that much coal? Wholesale price is only around $50/ton--maybe this explains why DME asked for a two billion dollar subsidy. Private investors aren't going to do it.
