It is sad to hear that yet another good one has passed away. My mother and I stopped and left flowers at the scene of the accident. I as well as my family know the polisse's, and Casey and her family are in our prayers. The thing that is sad too is that Jamie is probably going to go to prison because of the D.A. Healy. I know that it wasn't intentional, nor does jail help a man that woke up in the hospital to recieve the bad news that his live0in girlfriend had suddenly died. I really think that something other than jail would be more needed, like rehab and a long time on shock probation. It would be one thing if he ment to kill her, but he didn't. Mine and my families hearts go out to her family members, George Sr., Cindy, George Jr., and Stacey. If there is anything we can do to help please let us know. What a shame...

probation, maybe if this was a first dwi, was it, no. and also lets send a message to others. ok so you kill some one in your car while you are driving DRUNK. i think maybe a couple weeks of rehab....are you kidding me. get real, if this was my daughter i would most likely not let him get the chance to go to jail, i would take care of all the penalties myself. and if you were honest with yourself you would too.

I'm with Aware and Honest. At some point WE need to stop referring to these tragedies as "accidents". They are not. They are "crimes" and should be treated as such.

I see a "loaded" driver the same as a "loaded" gun. If you "fire" either one, you must live with the consequences. The victim didn't get a 2nd chance.

I just read the new article in the Courier Journal. Very well written. It is very sad, your getting hate calls. You are so right, Jamie is suffering something no one will understand. It has been difficult, for the friends of both. My daughter too was good friends with Jamie. Bless you all, for who you are. This had to been a very hard case for the Judge. May she rest in peace. And George Jr., what you said, is very true.
