Port Authority seeks OK for more bond issues to finance Detroit-area development
Legislation that would enhance the powers of the Detroit Wayne County Port Authority to finance a broad range of economic development projects both on and off the waterfront is running into opposition from one of the region's most powerful development officials, George W. Jackson Jr., president of the Detroit Economic Growth Corp.

If less corruption in this region would not have happened, begging would be a thing that would not be needed. People r needed who hire appointees and the like who have a strategy of not trying to fill their own pockets full. Priorities should be in honesty integrity etc. Has this been a priority ever in certain parts of this region in local politics? Give me some examples please.
