Taylor mayor found in contempt over firefighter grant

Taylor Mayor Jeffrey Lamarand was ordered to pay expenses incurred in the dispute over an $8.1-million federal grant to recall laid-off firefighters.

The judge runs the city? Maybe this judge should be reported. The city of Taylor should be more accountable in their reasoning of doing things. No lamarand should not pay legal costs.

Why bring up such trivial issues. Is lamarand guilty of what? Now u r trying to overshadow real issues in Taylor by this sportspkex. Who cares? Things that matter r being neglected. Cutting ridiculous pensions salaries etc. These would more than matter than this sportspkex.. u do not need this many firefighters! Or police! Cut costs that matter at heart of problem. GREED WASTE AND ABUSE!!!"

That money is being wasted. Taylor does not need this 8 million dollar grant.this is pure greed. That money could help rebuild high school in Phil campbell Alabama destroyed by tornado.hang your heads in Shame.

How many fire stations in Taylor tucky? One? And u still have this overstaffing of firefighters that r not needed. This$ 8 million should go towards building brand new state of art high school . Not towards keeping unneeded greedy firefighters. And u want to blame lamarand fer not agreeing to accept ? Phooey! And charge contempt. Please! U r not thinking right. Is this decision good for future down the road. Taylor has always had ridiculous salaries and pensions for city force and inferior schools. Is this logical?
